Well now I can't name my daughter this.. Yes I am only joking. I totally could if I really wanted to. We live in different states now, We have no contact in less you count status updates, we are no longer friends with any of the same people, ect. I just wouldn't be able to do it. So I am now annoyed.

Re: Not so Thirsty Thursday

  • Smiley times going on up there! Your ex is a rat turd for using a name you like.

Is this week going slow or is it me? I feel like today should be Friday. Regardless, I am happy it's Thursday.

Last night I took the subway down to the stadiums, then I walked to where our Relay meeting was. I totally underestimated the walk, I thought it was shorter. I was sweating like a jungle rat by the time I arrived.

Some people piss me off. This girl on the committee has not made one meeting all year, and was annoyed to be there last night. Really? Then don't be on the committee period. Other people are busting their butts so shut it up. I don't have time for you and contrary to what you think, you're not important. Move along.

MFD showed up at the end and took me back to my car. I picked up BCP and filled my car up with gas. Ouch.

At home I packed my gym bag and lunch, ate, and we watched DVR of Modern Family and L&O LA. I fell asleep on the couch and MFD tried to get me to go upstairs, but I refused. I was just so weary.

I got up this morning, let the dogs out, took laundry upstairs, got ready, emptied the dishwasher and defrosted some stuff for this weekend.

I didn't do a good enough job of spraying the dry shampoo in my hair today. It might be going up soon.

  • xtine-i'm bummed about the celtics too.  wtf.

stephanie-in toronto we walked from the bus stop to the hotel carrying SO much luggage.  and we got lost.  so we walked about 8 blocks.  and my boss has the worlds longest legs, so we were going like triple speed.  by the time we got to the hotel, i was literally DRIPPING sweat (like, it fell off my head and onto the counter...)  so embarrassing.

headache today, gerren is home with a migraine.  and i have SO much work to do.  i just want it to be 4 so i can go home, go for my fist real run in about a week, and then go bbq with the inlaws and their friends.

  • Xtine - Hopefully, you'll be able to enjoy the chinese food and keep it all down after!

This week is dragging...so glad tomorrow is Friday. My plan is to be finished with all paperwork by tomorrow afternoon. We'll see how that goes...

Last night, we hit the gym. I did 30 minutes/2 miles on the eliptical and then did some leg strength training and then hit the treadmill but I was asked to switch to another one so they could train/film Biggest Loser.

We got home, I cooked and then read/watched Idol with Jeremy. Then we got in a HUGE blowout fight where he punched a hole in the door after I slapped him for telling me I was in love with reading and not him. Lovely. Sorry if TMI. I'm still down about our fight and things he said to me. Other than that...going to hit it hardcore at the gym tonight and grill either chicken or pork chops tonight.

Oh and our garden is GROWING! I'm so excited! Love seeing all those little sprouts :)

  • Shauni, I arrived at my meeting just in time to sweat all over a major sponsor of our event. Super fabulous! Jealous of your BBQ. We are out of propane. I have to ask MFD to pick it up for the third time. Buttface.

Emilyann - oh hells bells. Sorry about your fight. What's in your garden?

  • I'm having a wah-wah-poor-Nichole pity day. It seems like for every small good thing that happens I have a schitstorm of bad things follow it.

Good: VP at work mentions they want to discuss the pros and cons of H working here. Bad: H finds out his unemployment is exhausted through DE but its possible MD will extend it since we live in MD.

Good: We had an awesome person come in for an interview yesterday. She's just as organized as me. I need her to start like last week. Bad: I find out this morning that one of my best technicians has put in his two weeks. I'm screwed. This means I basically have no one to do anything in the field. Bad: With one person in the office gone and another leaving next Friday, absolutelyfuckingeverything is my responsibility now. My regular job of accounting plus scheduling, inventory, answering phones and whatevertheflyingfuck else. Bad:  The corporate office wants me to come visit soon. I've mentioned this before but we found a way around it. This time there isn't one and I'm getting anxious just thinking about driving there.

Good: The scale told me I'm still down 2.4 lbs. Bad:  I'm PMSy, whiny, tired, cranky and I.WANT.CHOCOLATE .

I just want to curl up in bed and try again tomorrow. At least it'd be Friday and payday.

  • stephanie-our grill caught on fire and exploded this winter.  so we have been without one.  we still have propane, but no grill.  so tonight we are going to the inlaws (boo) for bbq (yay) and drinking (double yay).

we go tomorrow to pick up our fancy new big grill and patio set :)  i cannot WAIT!

  • X you are a tid bit happy today aren't ya? It will be thirsty thursday for me :-)

Sorry for all of the sweaters...I am one of them.

Em sorry about the fight. Jealous of your garden!

Last night E and I got home redid her hopscotch after the rain washed her other one away. She's an odd duck and will maybe play on it once a week but if it gets washed away we have to redo it asap. Then went to OG since Toby got home before 7 which is huge and never happens. Watched some AI then planned meals and events for the weekend.

Today a friend and I are going on a motorcycle ride after I get off work. Toby has softball and then Im getting my hangover on for tomorrow!

  • I'm a huge sweater and hate it. I sweat more than Jeremy. It's sad.

We have watermelon, beans, carrots, cucumbers, and sweet potatos in the big garden and then we have tomatoes and mixed green lettuce in separate containers.

This.  Although, DH sweats a lot too.  And then complains about it like he's the only one.

I'm super confused about what day it is.  It feels like Friday.  But, today at work I have 2 things going on - one that normally happens on Tuesdays and one that normally happens on Fridays.  So that's just messing further with my head.

I stopped by my mom's place last night to get the tickets to my sister's graduation on Saturday.  And then got home to find the hole in my kitchen ceiling wasn't nearly as big as I was imagining it to be.  It's about 8"x5"?  I'm bad with sizes, but close to an air vent.

This morning as we were getting ready to leave DH asked "did you forget anything upstairs?" and we both laughed.  I will admit to being nervous about leaving the house.  I made breakfast without the lights because I didn't want to turn them on again.  Tongue Tied

Tonight is the season finale of Community.  We are going to rewatch last weeks and drink out of our new "Troy and Abed in the Morning" show mugs - an early birthday present.  I can't wait til this day is over!

  • Sweaters, unite!

Shauni - pic of your new patio set please? I am learning to grill this summer, it's on my list. I fear the grill because gas goes boom. This year I must conquer it. Ridiculous.

Jessie - have fun on your ride!

  • Today is my Friday! Yay! Tomorrow, H and I are taking off and going to Six Flags New England. And this weekend, we're flying out to Cincinnati to go to the wedding of a college friend.

Unfortunately, I'm going to GBCN for the foreseeable future. My supervisor (who I'm actually friends with so this was really awkward) mentioned that I seemed distracted and that her boss noticed that I had the same website up all the time (yeah, it's definitely the nest), which was her saying I'm on the internet too much. I guess I'm technically GBCIing. (Goodbye Cruel Internet).

I'll check in and comment at night. I swear.

  • Good Morning Vietman!

I see everyone is doing well so far, except LTB, sorry but I hope it gets better.  Not much excitement here.  I found a washer and dryer on Craigslist for $100 so I'm going to buy it for my mom.  Her washer broke down and since she can't drive or walk for too long she can't go to the laundramat.

Oh, yesterday I took her to Wal Mart.  Let me start of by telling you a little history.  When my brother and I were kids my mom used to pick us up from school around 3 pm and take us to K-Mart (her fave store).  We wouldn't leave there until closing time.  The workers has to make the "attention K-Mart shoppers, your local K-Mart is closing in 15 minutes."  By the time the store closed she would still be shopping so they made the "attention K-Mart shoppers your local K-Mart is now closed" announcement.  It was horrible.  So when she told me that she needed a ride to Wal Mart last night I had flashbacks.  It actually wasn't so bad, we were only there for about 45 minutes.

  • Today DH and I are going to visit my aunt who is staying with my grandma for a few days. She missed the wedding so we are bringing the dress, veil, my shoes and more pictures for her to see. While she was going through her really tough rounds of chemo she loved talking about the wedding to take her mind off of her.

Yesterday the plan was to cut grass and work in the garden, but I got called into work for a bit and when I was walking out the door it started to pour. It is supposed to rain on and off here until Sunday.

Xtine - keep the happiness flowing!  Love your attitude.  Good luck with lunch.  Chow mein sounds really good right now.

Emily - so sorry to hear about the fight.  I have an ex-bf who used to punch the wall and stuff when he was upset, and it was scary to me.  Are you feeling any better?

QoA - nooooo!  That's too bad.  I'm scared the same thing is going to happen here.  They mentioned looking at web browsing history for the students, apparently thinking they're on FB or something, so we're probably next.  Sad

Steph - Good man, MFD, for picking you up!  When is your Relay event?  My friend does it every year as well, and I just got her fundraising email.

Oh, and I ditto others, today feels like it should be Friday, even with me WFH on Tuesday because of the sick.  Weird.  But yaaaaay, we have our first ultrasound this morning!  I'm super excited.  And have to ask the doctor about all this stuff I want to do this summer, like rafting.  I'm already justifying it - but, if I only do Class II-III, is it okay?

LTB - I hope the job stuff works out with H, and you!  Is it the distance/area of the corporate office that you're worried about?  Did you say it's like 4 hours away?

Dia - Yeah my temper got the best of me and a slap across the face happened.

Mush - We've been chatting on gmail all morning (he just figured out it has chat) but we haven't mentioned the fight. We'll talk about it tonight and he's fixed the door so that's good. We both hit each other's buttons last night. I've never seen him get that mad and I think it surprised both of us.

Emily - so glad to hear things are more normal this morning, and H has already fixed the hole!  It's so good to be able to understand what lead up to the fight, to be able to move forward and have more productive (for lack of a better word) fights in the future.

Jessie - Yay, that sounds awesome!  That's what I'm hoping to be able to do, stay out there being active.  Friends asked us to go camping/hiking in Lassen over Labor Day weekend, and H thought there was no way I'd want to go (I'm not a tent camper), but I think it'd be fun.

Ick, do not like (the driving).  I always had anxiety parking the work car at the courthouse garage, because the spot is teeny tiny and it's a huge SUV, so I would do anything to avoid being the driver!

Fingers crossed for your H!  I hope MD will extend his UIB for now, though, to help out.
