Tilapia..How do you make it?

Re: Tilapia..How do you make it?

  • I usually melt a bit of butter and pour it on top of the tilapia with chopped garlic, lemon juice, parsley and pepper and then bake for 25-30 minutes. Delish!

  • I usually put it in marinade before I go to work then bake it when I get home.
  • I just made the best talapia last week.  I grated some parm and diped the fish in to flour, egg and then the cheese and cooked it in a little EVOO.  the cheese made this awesome pocket of goodness that coated the fish and it tasted so good!

  • I used to make a recipe a lot where you just bake it in 50/50 pineapple juice and soy sauce (so essentially a terriyaki). You can used canned pineapple and then bake the pineapple pieces on top of the fish. Serve over rice. Really good!

  • I'm working on really watching my food intake lately and have been eating a LOT of tilapia and mahi mahi.

One of my favorites is to put it on a piece of foil, sprinkle salt, pepper and lemon pepper, top with peppers, onions, zucchini, garlic and lemon, wrap up foil and throw on the grill.

I also love to pan fry it with just a little EVOO. Season, pan fry, add some baby spinach, peppers, onions and tomatos and serve over whole grain pasta with a bit of parmesean sprinkled on top.

I'm a curry freak, so I also LOVE fish curry :)

  • These all sound so yummie...thank you!
