Botox...for kids...

So I heard this on the news morning and was perplexed. Okay I get that you want your child to do well in pageants but to give her botox to get rid of her dimple/laugh line/wrinkle is ridiculous.

So here's the article if anyone wants to read it.

What are your thoughts on this?

Edit: I didn't realize how uninformative this article was since it went into way more depth this morning on the show.

Re: Botox...for kids...

  • Personally I hate girls in pageants. Especially at like 1,2 and 3 when they have no choice. If E wanted to give it a whirl at like 7 or 8 then ya I'd let her try it but I wouldn't give her extensions or botox or spend $800 on a dress and get her a personal trainer. It's beyond rediculous they are kids not dolls and puppets. End rant.

  • I couln't agree more Jessie and Xtine. If I have a little girl and I put her in a pageant then it'll be a natural one without all the make up, extensions, etc. I think they've taken the pageant world to a whole new level of extreme.

  • i'm jumping on the "ditto jessie" bandwagon.  well said, my lady!  well said!
  • One more vote for what Jessi said.

I liked the Sunshine movie ::drawing a blank on the name of the title:: with Abagail Breslin.  She wasn't like all the other girls in the pagent, she was herself.  That is the most important thing we can teach young girls.

  • Ditto Jessie too!

And the movie was Little Miss Sunshine.  Great flick.
