I just discovered those mini cones from Trader Joe's. So good and a perfect little bite.

I also just discovered the chocolate covered banana slices there, LOVE!

Yes! Right next to the cones. I did a supermarket sweet of the ice cream section last time I was there. They are in a litte square box and I think it has a monkey on it.

I make that at home sometimes when I have a banana that is getting too ripe and extra chips. It is seriously my favorite treat to have in the freezer. (sorry for butting in)

    How do you do this??

I must have a thing for bananas lately because last night I made a banana milkshake for myself.

I can't say it's super duper easy but it's not that hard. I learned it from a kids cookbook when I was about 12 (except then you had to melt the chips on the stove top using two saucepans, one for water and one for the chocolate. Okay now I sound like I was around when Lincoln was president).

Just melt the chips slowly in a bowl in the microwave maybe using an 8 in stead of max and keep mixing then drop banana slices in, when they are mostly covered drop them on a foil covered baking pan and use left over chocolate to cover any patches that may have come off the banana using a rubber spatula. After they freeze toss them in a storage bag. They aren't the most perfect looking things but sooooo delicious and you know how fresh they are because you made them.

Yum!  always throw bananas that are going bad in the freezer w/ the intention of making banana bread which rarely happens. I'm going to do this next time.

That's not weird Pooks, that's just a double boiler.

If you add a couple drops of veggie oil it will help with the melting of the chocolate

I know but it felt weird typing it out. LOL

I use to always have to use oil because I would get steam in it constantly and oil can correct it to a certain point.
