Recurring dreams and/or nightmares
Does anyone have these? DH and I talk about this sometimes, we always seem to...
Re: Recurring dreams and/or nightmares
I frequently have dreams regarding my brother and the random things he does that irritate me. Last night I had a dream that he had a huge party at my house and used all the food in my pantry. ????
I often have dreams that while doing random things I am chewing on a HUGE wad of gum and it's like it gets stuck in my mouth. It's really strange.
Does my MIL count?
In all seriousness yes I have one. I was hit by a car when I was 10ish. It was actually a full size van. I have a recurring dream about this event, mostly the grill of the van slamming into me. This only happens when I am overly tired.

This happened last night, which is what prompted this post: I always dream that I'm in HS and I can't remember my locker combination. I'll be staring at the locker and just go blank. Then in my dream I'll start walking towards the office where the secretary will have to go look it up in her 'files'. This never happened to me in real life (forgetting my combo in HS) yet I always dream about it. I was always amazed at how long the line at the office was for forgotten combos whenever we'd return from Christmas break or Spring break.
I also dream (and DH says he does too) about my teeth rotting in my mouth. Like I'll be chewing food or just sitting there and all of a sudden I'm spitting out pieces of my teeth. Yuck.

I've had that same dream Andra!!! Well, I don't actually walk to the office or anything but I just keep standing there trying to remember my combination. LoL.... must be something about SHS.
I also frequently have dreams where I wake up (in the dream) and remember that I have a big test/paper/project due that day and I haven't started it yet, or that I'm just late for school. I usually wake up in a funky mood thinking that I'm still in school. It's kinda' irritating.
Ive had these exact same dreams before. I think they are actually pretty common. I looked up the teeth one in a dream book before. I forogt what it means though.
No, I was able to get up and walk to the curb. Lots of cuts, scrapes, and bruises. I don't really rember a lot. I blacked out at some point. I was riding my bike, lost control and went out into the street. The lady was almost stopped when she hit me.

Yes Ive had both of these dreams as well. I think they are stress related.
Mommy's little helper
I have been having the STRANGEST dreams for the past week. One night I had a nightmare that I monster was after me and was trying to eat my face off. Another night I had a dream that I drove my car into a deep puddle due to flooding and it ended up being lake deep - my car went underwater and I kept thinking how we couldn't afford to replace it right now and Jason was going to be angry - while I'm sinking. haha.
The funniest was when Jason told me he wanted a divorce and I was upset that Dayne would have only half siblings so I told Jason I needed to get pregnant again before he could divorce me.
I need to figure out what I"m eating before bed...it's messing with my dreams!
Not recurring but if I have a dream where someones dies in 99% of the time they die in real life shsortly after. Sometimes I'll be having a dream and the person is about to die and I force myself to wake up so I don't "see" them die in my dream, hoping it doesn't come true. It's really weird.
About 9 years ago I had a dream that my grandma's BF called our house in the morning and in my dream I answered the phone and he told me my grandma died and I was crying non stop. I actually woke up with tears running down my face and the phone ringing,it was her BF telling me she died but I didn't cry at all because I already knew. I felt like it was her way of making sure I would be strong for my mom.
My Boys Lawson, Lucas and Landon
My parents fought a lot when I was growing up and every time we would have "tense day", I would have the same dream.
It made no sense. It was this family in a big, gloomy warehouse with huge movie film reels, or whatever you call them. They were just staring up at them as they rolled through.
It makes even less sense as I type it, lol. So odd.
since i was in high school i will have this recurring dream that i am pregnant and the baby will just fall out. i'm not always doing the same thing in the dream but a lot of the time i will be in the bathroom. i have no idea what it means and i haven't had it in a long time but i will go through periods of time when i do have it at all and then have it a bunch. it must mean something but i don't know what. and no, it doesn't mean i want a baby because it started long before i was of appropriate baby making age.
i also will have periods of time where i have SUPER strange dreams for days on end. then it will just stop. no idea what that means either.
I do know that your teeth falling out dreams have to do with stress - usually having to do with a big change in your life, and some people believe it has to do with money.
I can't think of any recurring dreams lately, but when I was a kid I had a recurring nightmare about Kermit the Frog. Yes, haha, laugh at me if you wish, but I am still traumatized and HATE Kermit the Frog and most other muppets too. Some of the other muppets were in the dream. It started with a creepy muppet chasing me in a toy car (which if it touched me was lethal apparently) and then I always started turning into Kermit the Frog. I remember crying to my mom and asking why I was turning into Kermit and I don't think she was very nice about it.
I know I am crazycakes. It's cool.
