TR: Viral Rash?

Ella has developed some sort of a rash all over. I noticed this morning before I took her to the sitter literally two tiny bumps on her arm that looked like bug bites and thought nothing of it. The sitter said that she developed a rash on her arms, legs, back and cheeks that would come and go all day. It was the worst when she woke up from her nap which we think is because she was warm. The rash is red with white raised bumps looking sort of like small bug bites. I called the pedi's office and the nurse asked if we had put sunscreen on her or had her outside playing in an area where she could have come in contact with something allergenic. We have done none of those things. She did play outside last night but she plays outside almost every night and just in our yard/driveway. So the nurse mentioned that it just may be a viral rash and to give Benadryl. Has anyone else's little one had this? How long did it take to go away? I am going to try to PIP a pic of it on her arm but am usually not very successful at PIP! :)

Re: TR: Viral Rash?

  • G had a viral rash and it didn't look like that. Here's a pic of G....

I would probably bring her in just in case. I doubt it's anything but just to be safe.

  • Thanks BP- yeah that does look different! I gave her one dose of benadryl and her rash is completely gone! We will see how she is in the morning I guess!
