etsy question

I've bought a few things on Etsy and had great communication from the seller, along with prompt shipping.

I bought my mom a necklace on Etsy for Mother's Day and I still haven't received it, nor have I heard a word from the seller. The payment went through on April 30, which is 13 days ago. I've sent her two messages through Etsy asking when it would be shipped and I've received no response.

How long is it appropriate to wait before I press the "report a non-delivery" post? I know Paypal has something like a 45 day limit on reporting non-deliveries. I want to give her adequate time, but I don't want to wait too long, either.

  • Ditto. It's not just the non-delivery; it's also the lack of communication. I wouldn't wait any longer.
  • Does the etsy seller have an alert or anything saying how long orders normally take? Not that there is an excuse (at all) for zero communication in 2 weeks, but I'd double check for that information before reporting. If nothing is posted - then I'd report.

  • I've always had ridiculously amazing customer service from etsy sellers.  It seems to me these sellers really want to make their customers happy. I think your situation is suspicious and it's probably time to file a complaint.  Maybe the seller has a valid excuse but something isn't right.
