Settle a debate - contacted unbelievably fast after submitting app
I am happily employed but Tuesday night I submitted an application for a position I would have been stupid to not at least learn more about. The position had been posted around 5 days at that point. 15 hours later a company recruiter requested an interview. I was floored by how quickly I heard from them. This is a large company, ~2,000 employees, and this is the first time I have ever applied for a position with them. I have an interview with the recruiter next week. The debate between me, my H, and my mom is whether or not being contacted by a large company so quickly means anything.

I wouldn't read too much into it. There could be any number of reasons for a recruiter to contact you really quickly. Maybe they just need to fill the position quickly.
It means that the recruiter is diligently reviewing submissions and that you were screened and met the basic qualifications to consider going forward to interview.
Large company vs. small company is irrelevant. A large company can have a very dedicated recruiting staff that is really focused on closing jobs quickly. A small company can have a very understaffed HR department that can't get to everything in immediate time frames.
Every company is different, you can't make a generalization about it in order to figure out what it "means".

I don't think it's relevant. It may be a timing thing -- you just happen to apply when they just happen to go in and review resumes. Considering how many resumes people send with absolutely no response, consider yourself lucky!
