Bachelor Party Suggestions
I know this is really random to ask about on this board but DH has been planning my BIL's bachelor party for this weekend and with the weather being crappy they probably can't go paintballing like they had planned for. DH is not very good with plans let alone backup plans and doesn't really know what to do that doesn't involve being outside.
Does anyone have an suggestions on what they could do instead for the afternoon? My first thought was that local brewery that is around here or maybe TopGolf in Alexandria.
Re: Bachelor Party Suggestions
TopGolf is really fun and has driving range and putt putt options. But, if it is rainy, I'm not 100% sure...
Are they sporty? If so, you can rent kayaks in Georgetown and do some kayaking on the Potomac. Then they could just head up to M St. and drink. They'll get wet but they'd be wet from the river anyway.
Umm, trying to think what else- there are some ridiculous but fun movies out- if they're looking to kill time til an evening event they could do one of the theaters that serves drinks.
Stand up for something you believe in.
Strip club?
[heheh, just kidding...]
they could brew their own beer at shenandoah brewing co. i got DH a gift card for his birthday but we haven't been. i know mr & mrs dmuppet have gone & enjoyed it.
DH and some friends went to the H Street Country Club for a bachelor party last year - they have indoor mini golf, skee ball, shuffle board, etc. There are also a couple of bars in Penn Quarter that have skee ball - Rocket Bar and Iron Horse, I believe.

They are about to lose their license, so this weekend is the last chance for people to brew their own custom beer. I have a feeling it is already oversold for this weekend, I would look into this with your gift card!
I had to look it up on their website to believe it:
4/27/2011 - The brewery has been for sale for several years, but a sale has yet to be finalized. With the expiration of our ABC licenses looming on June 30th, we are preparing for the event that the brewery does not sell by curtailing BOP operations. There are prospective buyers, however, in the event that none of them pan out, we don't want to be left with custom-brewed beers we will be forced to dump down the drain come midnight on June 30th. With that in mind, the last day we will accept brewing appointments is May 14th. The last bottling appointments, depending on how many brews we have to bottle, will be June 4th or June 11th. The pub itself will remain open and continue pouring beer until June 18. Hopefully the brewery will sell in the next few weeks and we can continue operations as normal, but we're preparing for worst case scenario. Thank you for your understanding. -The Folks at SBC

technically, the gift card was one i made so i guess i'll have to find another brewery to make good on DH's b-day gift. he was so excited for that too
