Happy Friday the 13th!

OoOoOOooOOoooo, Friday the 13th.  Anyone superstitious?

Tonight we're taking Erin out to the bar and tomorrow we get to go play with the triplets.  Sounds like a fun weekend to me!  Sunday I hope to get most of my food prep for the week done, and hopefully there will be some outside time this weekend too.

What does everyone have the on the agenda?

Re: Happy Friday the 13th!

  • Hey! I'm here! I'm so excited; this is our final day of Spirit Week and it's been SO much fun. We're capping it off with a massive tug of war at lunch today, so let's hope the thunderstorms hold off until after 12:45. It's going to be epic. The kids are so pumped! This is definitely a school activity I'd love to be involved in again.

This afternoon I'm involved in a meeting with the leadership team and our superintendant, which is kinda awesome because it unofficially seals the deal that I'll be here teaching next year. I'm not out of the woods yet, but that's okay, it's a start!

  • Happy Friday!

We are pretty busy this weekend since we leave for Mexico next weekend. Top of the list is bathing suit shopping which I have a feeling will take forever!

Hopefully we are also going to get some yard work done, laundry, cleaning and packing. I am really just excited to get through the weekend and next week.

So many fun things are happening next week. Wednesday we have our 20 week ultrasound to make sure things are going as they should and as a bonus get to find out if we are having a boy or a girl and then we leave for vacation. I can't wait to get away for a week.

    Have a great weekend ladies!

  • Yay, Friday! We have another busy weekend. I have the farmer's market tomorrow morning. I'm hoping that a few more vendors will be there this week so that I can start stocking up on fresh produce. Yum! Sunday is my step-nephew's confirmation. My mom will be in town for that as well, so I'm sure that I will be entertaining her too.
  • Good morning, ladies.

Today is the 5th anniversary of my first date with DH.  And my daughter has only 4 days left in high school.

Not much going this weekend - just more yard removation and biking and/or hiking.

    Have a great day, everyone!

What do you guys sell at the market?  How is the produce doing there?  They were reallllly late planing here this year.

  • Today I'm meeting with my Psychiatrist, my meds are all wonky. So hopefully that will be resolved today. Then my principal called to see if I was coming back on Monday. I really really don't want to have this awkward conversation. I need to talk to HR first to see what they want me to do. My doctors don't want me going back, but the pushover in me says, but it's only 5 more weeks. It's money we could use for the summer too.

Tonight we're having drinks with my brother just to chat about life and what not. This weekend we're doing some house things. Sean's working a lot of the weekend so it's me and the pups.

  • Happy Friday ladies.

We have a busy weekend ahead. Tonight I need to get a birthday gift for a 3 year old and then hang with the hubs.

Tomorrow, birthday party starting at the Bounce Zone, and then to a friends for cake and ice cream.  After that we are dropping the boys off at MIL for an overnight. DH and I are going out to Bubba's (yes it is really called this), its a dive, but they have a disco light up floor that we LOVE.  It's 90's night so should be a blast with friends, especially since I haven't been out dancing since I was 12 weeks pregnant.

Sunday we are sleeping in, hopefully making it to church, then laundry and cleaning.

    Have a great day ladies!

  • Happy Friday!

Nothing planned for tonight. I hope to go home cook some spaghetti and catch up on some tv since I didn't get to do that last night.

DH is working days all weekend so I am on my own at tball tomorrow morning. We also have a bday party for my BFF's little girl tomorrow afternoon. I am looking foward to that.

Sunday I am going to try the praline cake someone posted last week (I can't remember who) and hopefully get some cooking for next week done. I also want to make Jordan some rice krispie treats to take to school since his last day is next week.

  • Yay it's Friday!!

So last night I finally took my last final so today I'm gonna go out and celebrate. I have one more semester to go and I'm done so I can't wait. I'm also going down to the DPS office to finally apply for my driver's license.

Tomorrow we have our goddaughter's 1st birthday party so we are really looking forward to that. Sunday we are just going to stay home and enjoy some free time from school and rest. Monday I finally start at my new job so I'm super excited!

    Have a great weekend ladies!!

  • Morning all.  Today needs to be a super focus day at work.  I have a bunch of things that I'd like to get done so I don't have to think about them over the weekend.  This weekend is going to be a lot of catching up of house stuff--laundry, paying bills, etc.  As much as I love vacation, I hate all the stuff that accumulates while you're gone.  One of my BM's is in town this weekend, so I'm hoping to catch up with her at some point.  Hope everyone has a good weekend!

We sell beef. It's not certified organic, but raised organically (the certification process is very expensive and would just raise the prices that we have to charge our customers). Kyle's cousin is the other owner and lives on the farm. We're just in charge of sales in our area and go to the farmer's market every week, which is fine by me because then I get to go shopping. It's now our second year there so we have gotten to know most of the other vendors which is awesome because it means vendor discounts for us.

As far as the produce, there's not much of it yet. Last week there were probably only half of the vendors at the market and it was mainly the craft vendors. I've heard there should be asparagus, spinach and maybe strawberries this week. Fingers crossed!

  • I have no idea what's on tap for the weekend. It seems like when there are no plans, it's the busiest few days. I'm hoping to at least get in a bit of friend time and a game night, but we'll see. We might also trek over to hang out with our nephews for a bit, but sometimes they're a bit too much to handle. I'm also hoping for some painting to finally get done so we can start on the wood flooring.

Last night I made some amazing steaks and potatoes on the grill. I doubt I can top that this weekend with food, so hopefully a night out is in the plans as well. I love date night with the hubs.

Looks like rain is in the forecast for the next week or so, so I'll definitely be taking advantage of any sunshine tonight and this weekend.

10000 Comments Fifth Anniversary 100 Love Its Name Dropper

Yay for Friday!  We don't have anything in particular planned for this weekend, but a lot of things that we could do.  Mostly, I want to nap since it's going to be rainy for the next five days or so.  I'm making Oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies to take to my SIL's on Sunday.

I'll POAS sometime this weekend before my blood test on Monday.  I was trying not to get optimistic so I don't get crushed later, but it's starting to creep in on me.  I'm just so tired of being disappointed.

  • Good morning!

I'm glad it's Friday but I'm not really going to get much of a weekend. Tonight I'm going for a much-needed massage and just chilling at home alone because V's got dinner plans with the boys. Tomorrow we're furniture shopping.

I'm being sent out to Newfoundland for work so I actually need to fly out on Sunday morning, arrive there in the afternoon. I'm coming back Thursday morning. I hear Newfoundland is a beautiful place but I'm not looking forward to traveling alone. Not to mention that Sunday is V's birthday, which I'll be missing. Sad

  • Good morning!

I am sleepy, I stayed up late watching my team get defeated in the 7th playoff game. I went to sleep disappointed.

Today I don't really have any plans.

Saturday I have to work, and will be creating my Grandpa's 80th bday invitation while I'm at it.

Sunday  My parents, Dh, BIL and I are all going to my In laws to celebrate birthdays and mother's day on the lake! It should be fun.

  • Good morning!

Tonight we have J's cousins wedding. I have no idea what to wear now because yesterdays snow has almost all melted leaving a huge muddy mess behind and it's supposed to be pretty chilly this evening.

Tomorrow I have hair and pedicure appointment and I'm having lunch with my mom. Sunday will be house work, laundry, and relaxing.

Amie, that's awesome.  I need to make more of an effort to get local meat.  Also, I can't wait for asparagus!

B went to Costco earlier this week and bought corn.  I couldn't believe it.  I never buy corn until fall, when I know it's being shipped up from central Illinois.  I just can't look at it in bulk at large grocery stores after having gone to school in Champaign where in the fall the corn is like $.50 an ear and comes from the farm down the street.  On a happier note, I hit up the farmer's market yesterday, and got some delicious mushrooms, but there's not too much of the good summer produce yet.

  • I'm feeling super lucky that our market is already full of stuff.

We stayed out way to late due to Aaron coming in second place at the fundraiser poker tournament we went too. Totally blew my plans for bailing early and grabbing dinner before it got to late. His prize was $40 to Home Depot and some gardening gloves, so at least it is something that will get used!

Patton Oswalt tomorrow night and lazy on Sunday. I'm already starting to have the "Where did May go" feeling.

  • reba - thinking of you and hoping for a BFP for you!

We have a friend staying with us this weekend, so looking forward to spending time with him, going out for food and drinks and doing some touristy things.  We're also going to our first real football (ie soccer) game on Sunday - it's about time after more than two years living here.
