cheap nesties come in! free photoshop/illustrator
Hi ladies,
I posted a while back about taking an InDesign class. It went great, thanks to all of your recommendations. Thanks!
Now I am hoping to learn photoshop and illustrator as well, and I can get work to pay for the classes... but it would be great if I could find a bootlegged copy of the programs. Suggestions? Warnings? Available product keys?
TIA!

We make the rockin' world go 'round.
be very careful about any bootleg copies...there were kids in school with me whose computers got really messed up from downloading crappy bootleg copies.
as a graphic designer, I have to pay a shitton of money for these programs, especially now that I'm not in school anymore. if you want a good copy of the program, you just need to pay for it. however, you should qualify for the education discount if you are taking classes.
There is an open source "version" of photoshop (I forget what it's called, but it starts with a "G"). It's free, not bootlegged (essentially it's a big programming project for computer geeks) but it's not as user friendly as photoshop IMO. You can save files as photoshop versions.
also, as of a few years ago, Illustrator allowed a free download for like x days. If you're just wanting to learn it & are dedicated, that might be an option.
Maybe you mean GIMP? DH uses that. http://www.gimp.org/
