NBC Fall Line Up

Full Story here

The new series picks ups are:

~The adaptation of the British series ?Prime Suspect? starring Maria Bello

~The Christina Applegate comedy, currently titled ?Up All Night?

~The untitled Whitney Cummings comedy pilot

~The Steven Spielberg-produced, ?Glee?-inspired ?Smash? TV musical drama starring ?Will & Grace?s? Debra Messing and ?American Idol?s? Katherine McPhee.

~?The Playboy Club?: Set in 1963, this drama (seemingly inspired by ?Mad Men?) centers around the opening of the first Playboy Club in Chicago and stars Amber Heard, David Krumholtz and Eddie Cibrian.

~?Grimm?, a fantasy cop procedural featuring characters inspired by Grimm fairy tales.

~?Awake?: Formerly known as ?Rem,? this is a mind-boggling drama about the parallel lives of a detective (played by Jason Isaacs) haunted by a devastating car accident that destroyed his family. Described as ?Inception-like.?

Now that we know who?s in, let?s take a look at who may be out. The network has a few shows ?on the bubble,? meaning they could be in danger of cancellation.

At least two returning series have gotten good news: ?Parenthood,? which continues to build steam, and the surprisingly well received ?Harry?s Law? have both been officially renewed for another season.

Word on the street is that likable and apparently indestructible fellow ?Chuck? is also likely to return for a fifth season.

Meanwhile, NBC?s ?The Event? ? widely considered a bust ? is not expected to return for another season, and it?s hard to imagine the struggling ?Law & Order: LA? getting another reprieve (although never underestimate the leverage that ?L&O? honcho *** Wolf has).

NBC will make their official upfronts presentation on Monday, but the network is expected to release an announcement of its plans to the press the day before.

Re: NBC Fall Line Up

  • I still miss Samantha Who?

This is like Christina Applegate's third sitcom after Married.

  • I'm so happy Chuck is coming back!  I have the biggest crush on Zachary Levi.
  • any word on ABC shows??  I wonder if Detroit 187 will be back.  I've heard that if it does that much of the shooting will no longer be in detroit because they don't get a movie tax credit anymore or something.

That's what I heard or read too. It's weird I remember reading an article about how Detroit 187 led to a big decline in Parenthood's ratings enough that they weren't sure it was coming back but in the end Detroit 187 is the one with the question mark, and that article was not that long ago.
