ferry vs. driving to Provincetown

I'm thinking of taking a last-minute trip to Provincetown over Memorial Day weekend (our anniversary weekend!).  Would we be insane to drive there instead of taking the ferry?  Ferry tickets are pricier than I realized at ~$79pp round trip.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: ferry vs. driving to Provincetown

  • I think, with the price of gas, Ferry is totally the way to go. It's so much more relaxing. Cape traffic is going to be insane Memorial Day weekend. So if you can get reservations for the Ferry, I would do it in a heartbeat. The only downside is not having a car, but if you're in P-town, do you really need a car?

  • Just take the ferry. That weekend, it will take you 6 hours to get there.
  • yeah, you'd easily spend half the weekend driving if you drove.  Just take the ferry!
