Mother's Day? (in-laws)
We were on vacation during Mother's Day weekend. We got our mail yesterday and I didn't have a single card from my husband's family. Why am I so disappointed?! I know they don't care for me but his Mother has always made a HUGE deal out of Mother's Day. We have always sent her a card, flowers, and/or a gift. I feel like she purposely didn't send me a Mother's Day card to hurt my feelings. It worked! I was just balling today in the shower...am I making a big deal out of nothing? I wonder if it was more hurtful because it was my 1st Mother's Day.

I find it weird to get gifts or cards from others on occasions like this. Like anniversaries should just be gifts or cards between spouses. Mother's Day should be from the children (and dad for younger ones). A phone call or whatever from others is fine though.
That said, I'm not even a mother yet and my MIL sent me a card. (She got a phone call from H and I spent the evening with my mom.)
