Any fun weekend plans?
Rave: We should be getting the disk of our wedding pictures today! After 6 months, it's about time. I'm so excited to finally have them.
Rant: Yesterday morning, I got a text from some unknown number. I had no idea who it could be. I decided to ask my sister if she knew. It was my 7 year old niece. She bought her a cell phone for her birthday. I just don't get why she needs one.
I have nothing going on this weekend. I'll probably end up at home all by myself crafting. I might try my hand at making some WW Black Bean Brownies and Dark Chocolate Cake (which has sauerkraut in it, but apparently doesn't taste like it).

Rant: One of H's friends from before we started dating is hitting on him and just will. not. stop. It's driving me insane. I'm trying not to let it bother me but she just gets worse and worse. He says he doesn't like her that way, which is awesome, but I just really want her out of our lives. Ugh.
Rave: It's Friday, it's beautiful out, and a mutual friend of ours is having a BBQ tomorrow. Plus I got paid today. Can't wait for 3 PM to come.

Oh gosh Bay, at least it sounds like your H is trying to tell her "no thanks." She'll take the hint eventually. I went through something similar with my H while we were dating. I trusted him to handle it and he did. She hasn't bothered us since. There are chicks out there that want what they can't have. We had this discussion at work the other night, no idea why but some women find married men more attractive. Trust your H to do the right thing.
Rant: I don't know if it's tension, if I did something at work, or what but my back, neck and head hurt. Makes it hard to have a fun weekend when I feel like crud.
Rave: Today is H's bday! He's 30 - I told him welcome to the cool decade. I may be a dork, but I had a HUGE smile on my face yesterday when I was picking out his bday card because it was my first time to ever buy a "To My Husband" bday card - I guess it's the little things that get me. Oh and today is our 6 month-aversary. Happy 6 months to all of y'all too!!
Agree - that really stinks, Bay! People are redonkulous! I hope she gets the hint and moves along her merry way.
@jmkes - Happy Birthday to your husband! I agree that 30 is the cooler decade
And I don't think it's dorky at ALL to be smiling when you pick out a card for your husband. I realized this the other day at the store and was happy, too! Our birthdays are a month and a half away and I can't wait to share our first married birthday together.
Rant - There have been layoffs around here for the past two weeks and a lot of people I have either known or worked with got let go. It's so sad and stressful to see genuinely good people let go.
Rave - I was able to chest press 60lbs this week. It was hard, but it felt so good! I want to see how much heavier I can go.
You just made my day (that's how boring it's been!). My H's bday is in a week and a half, and it never even crossed my mind that I get to buy him Husband cards.
Rant: Frustrated I can't get something for work to run correctly. GRRRRR.
Rave: My iPad came yesterday, so I have a new toy to play with!
@raangoli - I L O V E that you said redonkulous. It appears we have the same sort of sense of humor.
@MrsButters - Hee hee, glad you have something to look forward to. Oh, and have fun with your new iPad! I'm hoping that in a year or so we will be able to buy a refurbished one real cheap.

Rant: Nothing to rant about
Rave: I AM GOING ON AN 8 DAY CRUISE TOMORROW!!! I am soooo excited for some vacation time and to enjoy some beach time
It will likely be our last 'real' vacation for some time since the baby is coming soon. I have never been on a cruise before but always wanted to try it out, hope I like it!!
Rant: H and I have been fighting like crazy lately; I think it's from house stress. Also, I have been cramping (and bleeding) for the last 3 weeks since I got the IUD. I'm fairly certain these are related.
Rave: LESS than a month until we close on the house!!

Raangoli -- Wow! 60 lbs is a lot. I don't think I can even aspire to that.
Rant: I hate cleaning out my mom's stuff. It's depressing and my brother and dad aren't helping. I feel like my dad just expects I'll do everything for him and he isn't even nice about it.
Rave: DH got his name in the WSJ! I'm so proud of him! I also had an interview and I'm pretty sure I'm still in the running.
Well, I'm a day late, but my Friday SUCKED so I'm happy it's over.
My rants from yesterday: I had a huge project kind of blow up in my face, which caused me to have to work late and miss a local Nestie GTG that I was really looking forward to. The admin, whose job it is to take things to the post office when needed, ripped me a new one because my lack of planning might cause her to have to go to the post office on Monday when she wasn't planning on it. Because I was so keyed up from the crazy day I was having, I walked away while she was still btching me out, went to my desk, and cried. Later, she came to "apologize" but did it in such a backhanded, unapologetic way, it made me furious, and I cried again. If she wasn't leaving in 3 weeks, then I'd pursue the issue and remind her that 1, I'm new and don't know the post office process, so it's not my fault that our department inconveniences her so often and she's so bitter, and 2, an apology that is not heartfelt is worse than no apology at all.
I have no rants today - it's all raves. DH and I shopped a little today (for him - new shorts and tennis shoes), then went to Walmart for toiletries (we were low on everything), and then watched Thor. And, I have Monday off, so we have two more days of just hanging out together!
Weird "we're married now" moment: normally we buy toiletries at the same time as groceries, so it's not as obvious when there are personal items in there. Today, he was picking out condoms while I was picking out tampons, and it was just a smidge awkward for both of us. (We've just switched back to condoms since I'm doing FAM.)
Rant: I know my thyroid isn't right. I am having one of those anxious, hand-wringing weeks where my underweight self can't stop her racing thoughts.Also Dh and I had the crappiest, where-the-hec-did-this-come-from fight last night. We both feel miserable over it.
Rave: My stepsister's bridal shower was this weekend, and if I do say so myself, I think us bridesmaids rocked it.
We worked well together, the party flowed, and people were having a great time. It was a tea party theme, and all the guests wore ridiculously cute spring dresses with hats and ate tiny sandwiches while daintily moving about the room. It was like being a kid playing tea party - great escape from reality. 
And we played "Wedding Scattegories", guessed how many buttons were in a jar, and played "How welld do you know the bride and groom?" - each game seemed perfect for the group. It's so rare that I actually enjoy showers (usually I find them awkward), so it felt great to see it all come together.
@jmkes - hah! "redonkulous" is a favorite of mine. I am glad I am not the only one who uses it still, phew!
@tem - good luck with the interview. and that's awesome that your H got his name in the WSJ!
@angie - I hope the next week at work goes better for you!
