need 1yr old gift ides(PLEASE)....
We have many 1yr old birthday parties coming up....gift ideas please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A few of the kids are VERY active children!!!
Re: need 1yr old gift ides(PLEASE)....
It depends on the kids and your price range. My new favorite toy (LIKE EVER) is the Melissa and Doug shopping cart (it's a mini metal cart) but it's expensive ($60)
Puzzles, blocks, huge legos, clothes, books (Borders has board books of some great oldies like Courdoroy and The Hungry caterpillar)
the last 1 yr old gift i bought was a big hit. it was a melissa and doug push toy...an aligator or something that was on wheels and could be pushed.
i have a party tomorrow and i didn't have time so she will probably get clothes
my daughter loves the pull along frog from Melissa and Doug.
Bubble mower from Fisher price
Both Kyle and Shannon got little RC vehicles this year. Shannon's was a My Little Pony plane, and Kyle's is a truck (both with sound effects... I believe the sounds can both be turned off too). Just two/three buttons (forward, backward/spin). Kyle likes playing with the remote for both his and his sister's! I think his is a "My First Radio Control" truck by Kid Galaxy (saw similar ones online for about $20).
Kyle also really likes his new "Wheel Pals" by Playskool. (Shannon likes those too, but more because there's a trap door in the set that Kyle got).
Here are the things G got for her party that she loves (various price ranges). She's SUPER active too, so for less active/mobile kids, they'll grow into them. She on the other hand walked at 7 months and at 12 months was climbing like a pro.
- Full size play kitchen (Price range we saw was $100 - way up - ours was $200
- Kitchen accessories - Melissa & Doug food sets/fruit veggie, etc. (they are more expensive than the other brands, but SOOOOO much more realistic) - Price range - $9 & up depending on what set you get - most are around $20 I think
- Wheely Bug (She loves thsi damn thing - Bellani sells them or you can get them on amazon) - I think this is either $50 or $60 and it comes in two sizes and multiple styles (cow, lady bug, bee)
- Rody horse (Bellani sells this as well) - G didn't get this, she got something else. I wish she had this instead.
- Billibo - I couldn't explain to you what these are, but kids LOVE them. G got a knock off and it's a hat, it's a basket, it's a whatever she thinks it is.
- Aquadoodle -> She didn't get this as well, but we want to get it for her. Travel size is $15 and larger is $20 I think.
- Crayola art supplies - she loves her tadoodles bath crayons. We also got her the markers that color on the special paper and the tadoodles regular crayons but she hasn't gotten the hang of those as well. - $3 and up
- Bubble machine - My advice on this - G got two and they both suck and she LOVES them - one leaks and the other only blows half the time, so this is work spending a few extra $ on to get a better one, but even with that maybe $20-$30.
- Snack containers - the munchkin styles ones they can carry around and reach into with the flexible plastic lids. G LOVES this. i think I paid $5 for it.
- Ride on toy - Someone got G the bouncing turtle thing by either leapfrom or vtech or something. It took a little extra time for her to figure out getting on, but she likes it now
- Cozy Coupe car - She has the music one and is always in and out of it - we keep it inside for now. I think it's round $40.
- She also has Violet the dog (Scout for boys) and the Fisher Price equivalent - she goes back and forth on these, but then again she's not a big doll person yet
- She has an Elmo see n play that is a shape sorter thing. I find it kind of obnoxious, but she loves it.
- B toys meowsic keyboard
- B toys parum parum drum
- B toys soft building blocks
For easter we got her a water table and she is overjoyed by that, but thena gain, she loves water and being oustide.
Hopefully that gives you some ideas.
A couple of things M got for her 1st birthday that she LOVES
A tea set (she got a talking one, makes noise when you pour, fisher price maybe?)
Musical instruments - a drum filled with other instruments (B toys)
She devours books, loves them!
play laptop (VTech)
play cellphone, she'll talk on it for hours.
She wasn't walking yet at 12months, so the ride on toys, cozy coupe, etc were a little bit challenging for her, but at 18 months she LOVED them
