I think DH is on board to CD! We went to a class today (somewhat painful-- the instructor was a bit crazy) but we learned a lot and he is definitely interested. He has no interest in the prefolds... but would do the pocket or AIOs.
I pulled up some old posts and read thru them all... everyone has a wide range of styles/ brands they use! Those that used a newborn rental service, how long did you use that for? I think I went to several sites that each had a different time frame. Any other advice would be awesome!
MM- I put you down as a referral-- what good stuff do you get for that?!

Oooo, thank you!! I don't know what I get (if anything) ....hmmmm....
I used (and am again currently using) the rental from Nell's Natural Baby. The price went up a little since Owen was a baby, but it's still a good deal. It's a 3-month rental, but with Owen we stretched it out to 4 months since we were waiting to get our new diapers. They're pretty flexible in my experience.
We also did the two-week trial from the Diaper Lab when he was 3 months in order to determine what diapers to get next before we settled on the BGs for day and the fitteds for nighttime (DryBees and Baby Beehinds with Thirsties covers).
Did you do the workshop at the Diaper Lab? Did you have the instructor who says "um" REALLY loudly after each and every sentence??? OMG, it was excruciating when we went a couple of months ago. They really should have someone who is better at public speaking lead the workshops! It didn't help that DH was extremely reluctant to go in the first place...
No help on the newborn recs, we're doing 'sposies until he's a little bigger/we're more settled into the routine/we've repaired the BG's we have (we got 20 from DH's coworker - which is what got him totally on board - but they need new velcro & elastics).

While waiting for the class to start, we heard all about her health issues too. Oy vey. I'm shocked that he's even willing to do it after listening to her.
