Are the Thai beaches worth it?
I apologize in advance for bombarding this board with travel-related questions about Thailand - I just can't seem to find great resources online!
If you've been to Thailand, tell me what you think of Bangkok. As it stands, I'll be in Bangkok 2 days, Cambodia 2 days, and Ko Samui 2 days. I'm wondering if I'll regret not having more time in Bangkok...any insight is appreciated! You DC nesties are so well-travelled
TIA!
Re: Are the Thai beaches worth it?
I hear the Thai beaches are some of the best in the world. I think that's where The Beach was filmed.
I've been to Bangkok and you can experience the city in 2 days, but there are day trips outside the city you may want to add on to your time there. Once you get to Thailand, things are cheap! I got a 1 hour massage for like $20 at the hotel I was staying at. They also have people who will custom make clothes for you (you pick the material, they come to you to take your measurements) and your clothes will be ready in a couple days. We didn't do it, but others in our group did and said it was really good quality. Next time!
