ink refilling?

we need black ink for our Lexmark inkjet printer.  a new one from Amazon/Target is about $30.  I'm trying to be extremely cheap.  I've never done the ink refills from Walgreens or such, but the price is attractive.  Has anyone done it?  How's it work?  Does it work well?  We don't print anything fancy at home usually, but I still don't want stuff to smear, or for this to only last a few weeks.  Thanks.

Re: ink refilling?

  • I used Walgreens a couple of times while in college and didn't have a problem.

  • I have done it before and don't like the quality of ink.  I feel like the black is more blue and doesn't last as long.  If those things don't concern you, then I would go ahead and do it.
