Please explain the Mud & Run thing to me?

Hi Deb,
The "Mudder Nature" is a race up in Chico. My understanding is that it's essentially a combination of a 5k run and a mud obstacle course. So throughout the run there will be various obstacles to go through with mud. It seems tough but really fun!
At the end, there is a river to swim/clean up in and a Barbeque. The way I conned Sam into it, is that it's sponsored by Sierra Nevada Brewery.
I think there's a similar race "Muddy Buddies" in the San Jose area, if you're looking for something closer. I think that's more of a two person relay race in muddyness.
