The 16 y.o. is NOT coming to the batchelorette party.
And the pole dancing classes for our sized group (5 people including the bride) are taken. I am desperate for help in planning this bachelorette party now. I'm thinking Continental Midtown for dinner followed by a bar crawl. What stops should we make along the way??? I don't mind if there is a cover as long as it's not $20 at every location. It's taking place next weekend and I just fell down the freaking stairs and my foot is killllling me! Gaaah.
Thanks ladies!!!
Re: The 16 y.o. is NOT coming to the batchelorette party.
I reallllllly do not like Continental Midtown anymore. It's really gone downhill, imo.
I recommend Time, the club on Sansom & 13th.
Or you could do Chinatown and Yakitori Boy for karaoke.
Or bowling at North Star after a NoLibs crawl.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
I really love bowling at north bowl & yakitiori (i once sang with ltp, lando and stpete there)
what kind of vibe? there is always parx or sugar house too.
I would recommend Time too. Upstairs is where the DJ is. You could always hit up Woodys or Voyeur. That's what I did for mine
I also did Cavenaugh's River Deck because my college-aged sister planned it. I wasn't happy about it because I associate that place with well, college, but actually it was great! If the weather is nice, it's totally outdoors and being on the river is actually quite nice. There's enough space that it's not a meat market (although it looks a bit off-putting from the street). And mine was right around this time.
LTP, you're not the first person to say the midtown location has gone downhill...maybe I should rethink the dinner location as well. Crap.
The vibe is 4 girls that have never been to Philly and are up for the usual BP shenanigans. I know my way around center city better then other areas so I'd be more comfortable navigating there. Is there a real difference between North Bowl and Lucky Strikes? I think I'm over Yakatori Boy but I'll keep it in mind.
i second Jewels... but mine was there too... I had a GREAT time and we just avoided the college kids. We were there in the summer so it wasn't as bad as I'd imagine it being in the fall or spring.
If you really want to go to Continental you could do a Trans-Continental bar crawl... Make a map of places between Continental Mid town and the other Continental and end up with a hotel down there? (or vice versa)
diner at el rey then, drinks/dancing at the raven lounge ?
