Are you out and proud about your choice today?
I am. I'm wearing an Obama/Biden sticker with my "I Voted." My heart was pounding about it at first since my boss ran for local office as a Republican, but I figure if he gets to be all out about that, I can be out about this. As DH reminded me, political persecution isn't lurking around every corner.
A co-worker already talked to me about it and stuck her tongue out at me. Then she predicted rioting if Obama loses, and I told her that when people say that, it sounds really racist. Then she said she didn't wish me luck today.
It's hard to work today!

Re: Are you out and proud about your choice today?
I'm wearing a bright red scarf, but otherwise, no.
My old boss is a republican, but I don't think my current boss is.
It's not bad to be a rep in my firm (we have two very big deal rep's who are attorneys here), but my floor is primarily dem.
Absolutely.
I have gotten absolutely no work done since I got back from court today.
Me too! I have on my new pink cashmere sweater!
omg, I'm definitely not out and proud...
I just went downstairs to grab lunch. When I got on the elevator, there were two black men, who weren't standing close to each other but were getting off on the same floor (not the lobby). One was standing next to the buttons and he was holding the door open buttons. He then asked if I had voted. I cheerfully replied "yes" and he let go/pushed the door close buttons. He was wearing a grey suit jacket, so I'm pretty sure he works for the building.
40th floor, a woman gets off, 38th floor she gets off. He then asks me who I voted for. When I didn't reply he asked if I voted for McCain. I tried to remain coy and flirtacious as the tone had been up until that point and said, 'I don't know' and then he started to be accusatory and guessed that I did vote for him. I then said in an 'all kidding aside' tone that I didn't vote for a main party, I didn't vote dem or rep... because that's true as I voted for McCain on the Conservative ticket... but then he said I was lying.
About 5 minutes later I felt like bursting into tears...probably b/c I'm PMSing but also because that was rather unpleasant. I put months of thought and evaluation into my vote and I didn't have time to explain that in the 6 floors we rode together on the elevator. Also he doesn't know me and doesn't know that I'm a nice, rational person. I know I shouldn't care so much about what total strangers think, but I really don't like to be judged for being a republican.
ETA: I mention his race for 2 reasons. First and foremost, it's a demographic that strongly favors Obama. But also a little because I'm (rightly or wrongly) more paranoid about black people thinking I'm racist than white people thinking I'm racist.
I have the I Voted Today sticker on my purse next to my Obama button. The kicker is the sparkly, light up flag pin w/ googley eyes that Sugr sent me as my PSS.
You aren't truly patriotic until you have a sparkly flag pin.
