toy storage

we have a wall of shelves and a huge armoire in our playroom, and still the floor is so covered with toys that it's hard to find a place to sit and play. and ava's bedroom has piles and line ups against the wall of plush animals and her dolls.

so i went to christmas tree shops this weekend and bought the big plastic party beverage tubs in pink, purple and turquoise to corral some of this. Ava loves having a giant bin to put her bedroom collection in, and this week we'll put one or two in the playroom. and i plan to use one or two in the garage for balls and other outdoor stuff for Ava.

in the meantime, Samantha found a use for them too:

  • Love it!  I have been looking for something like that.  May I ask how much they were?

Love it!  I actually bought two of those tubs thinking they would be great for future parties...but I like your idea!  We had a "bin" in the living room but it is collapsible and she has all but mangled it LOL ...

  • I bought those same bins to hold beer at my husband's retirement party.  I keep one in the bedroom and throw any crap that he leaves around the house in it.

$3.99 each! i bought 9 of them Stick out tongue but I'll probably return a few. standing there, i couldn't decide how many i needed and what they would be for.

i think they might be good storage containers for under the crib too - i need to see how high it is.

and i want to reserve one or two for parties.

    ok, might keep all 9!

  • LOVE those. I have 4 of them, all blue/turquoise.Two in his room with stuffed animals and books and two in the playroom with stuffed animals and balls. Not for $4!!!!!
