Re: ::eskamo::
OMG right?! I was sooo annoyed. 23 DPO, yea that's not right.
Funny story: When I saw my OPK was positive I squealed ran around upstairs and then called DH. I was so darn excited! lol
Thanks CCH. I am REAAAALLLLLY hoping this cycle is it for you.

I would have too!!! I saw FF keep taking away/putting back/taking away your CH's and I was all "seriously, STOP DOING THAT!" In FF's defense, the temp rise did look like an O shift, your body just didn't get the memo! So glad it finally did!!!!!!!
Yep, I rrreeeaaallllyyyyy hope this cycle is it for us as well! However, I've come to learn better. *sighz* Here's hoping though, right?! I have an appt with the RE next week, so at least there is a glimmer of hope. Of course, who knows if I'll be able to see DH next month around O time if he is moved without me already?! ARGH!
And I totally agree with you-Shazzie, you really need to put your chart linky back. How else am I supposed to stalk you?! GEESH!
Hahaha I didn't actually think anyone would ever look at my chart, and I posted on my local knot board a couple weeks ago and was like "Crap! I don't want these girls knowing when I have sexy time and EWCM!" I'll put it back for ya! lol
Also, this is going to be my first cycle using OPKs, how often do you test? Do you base it on your temps and when you think you might be close to O?
my blog
Of course we want to chart stalk!
I start my OPKs on CD18, because in the past I have O'd around 20-23. When it gets closer to O and I start getting the right kind of CM I take them twice a day. This cycle however, I just tested every.single.day 'cause it was crazy!

Yay! Chart linky is back!! I don't chart stalk everyone, but some people I like to see how they're doing.
I start testing once a day around cd11-12 (depends on how motivated/lazy I am, or how many tests I have). I don't usually get a +OPK until cd14 or so. Usually startind cd13 I will begin testing twice per day (FMU & after work). I prefer to go by temps, but last cycle my temps were really screwed up so I was glad to have used both methods so that I had something to go by.
I have really short surges, so I've learned to temp multiple times a day as I get to cd14. I can have a +OPK in the morning and a -OPK later that night.
Random, but CCH I just noticed you take Imitrex. My neurologist asked me to start weaning myself from that during the TTC process. Is it safe in TTC? pregnancy? Do you have any other med recommendations that actually work. My migraines tend to kick my ass.

My neuro did not suggest the same. He told me to take it until I have a confirmed pregnancy, however I don't take it during the 2ww unless I really have to. He said that on the neuro end they don't really think it impacts pregnancy, but the gyno end doesn't quite believe the same. He said the medication makes blood cells contract (in order to relieve the migraine). I guess there is an anonymous registry for the medication to study it's effects on pregnancy (a patient that intentionally or unintentionally takes it can turn that info over to their doctor, who can turn it in to the registry). He seemed to think that the medication would be turned in to a Class B drug in the near future, but who really knows.
We went over options to take should I become pregnant. I forget what he said exactly (though I posted a long thread about it on GP), but I believe the first step is to try RX tylenol & Reglan (neither of which work for me as it is, but he said it might work differently while pregnant..I'm not holding my breath on that). I think the step after that is a Class B painkiller (DH gave me a look of "OVER MY DEAD BODY WILL YOU TAKE A PAIN KILLER WHILE PREGNANT" but, whatever). The last ditch effort is some sort of shot to the back of the head. He told me not to worry and that I won't have a 9 month long migraine. He said that they would reconsider Imitrex if none of those options worked, but it would really just be something to decide if it happens.
The problem is that my migraines don't go away on their own. Sometimes sleep helps, but not always. If I can't get a migraine to go away I will slowly creep in to a situation where the pain will cause stress to my body, and in turn stress to the baby, which isn't good either.
He is hoping that pregnancy reduces my migraines. I am hoping he is right.
I tried a chiro, that didn't work. I tried a chiro and muscle rehab combo, that didn't work. I am going to add magnesium to my daily regimine (I keep forgetting to buy a new bottle) to see if that will reduce them enough to a tolerable level. If that doesn't work, I will likely reconsider a daily preventative (Prozac is a preventative and a pregnancy safe medication, which surprises me, but there ya go).
I know that this info may appall some women. I'm not someone who hesitates about the pills that I pop due to the severe pain I go through 8-15 times per month (and the only reason that number isn't closer to 30 is because of the Imitrex that saves my azz). My migraines can easily land me in the hospital, so some form of medication is absolutely necessary. UGH!
This is me, exactly. I've never been hospitalized by mine though. Ouch! And probably very frustrating.
I know I have a conservative neuro and even my ob/gyn is pretty conservative. But, I have noticed that since going off Topamax (a given when TTC/pregnant) and stopping Imitrex I am getting migraines 4-5 a week. Good to know about it possibly moving up in classes. I don't know if I can go months and months before my BFP without the meds.
Ugggh. Hopefully pregnancy helps, 'cause honestly Topamax/Imitrex combination is the only thing that has kept them under control.
Thanks for the help, and insight.

Yuck, I'm sorry to hear that you're suffering from so many migraines now as well. It definitely sucks and is super frustrating! I tried Topomax, but it didn't do wonders for me, though it did reduce the amount of migraines. At the time I was dead set on going on Lexapro as a preventative and to treat PMDD, so I probably asked to switch in an effort to get towards a Lexapro RX (which I did, eventually).
I was told to stay on my meds as is until I get a BFP, and then we'll go from there. Though the neuro did call me in a RX for Reglan, so I suppose I could start seeing if that works, I'm not sure. My ob/gyn hasn't said anything about my medications, but I'll see if the RE has something different to say.
Try adding magnesium, I think they rec 1000mg/day. I really need to make a big NOTE TO SELF: BUY MAGNESIUM. I took it years ago, but quit.
I was readjusting my siggy and wanted to make a link to my chart when I realized...I don't know/have the code to put it in my siggy. What is the code again (since you have yours linked, I figure you'll know it)??
You'll have to let me know when the time comes if the Reglan works. and, yea, we both need to buy some magnesium lol.
To put the link FF gives you the code under the sharing tab. The message board one should look like [*url=http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/316730]My Ovulation Chart[/*url]without the asterisks.
