s/o dressing (sort of)...Men's hats
My DH wears a baseball type hat 95% of the time. I never really mind this because he looks good in hats and his work is pretty casual so he can wear them to work. He will usually make an effort to not wear a hat when we got out with my family, but he makes less of an effort with his own family. He claims he wears a hat so he doesn't have to bother doing anything to his hair (seriously? you run some gel and a brush through it and you're done...it takes 30 secs!)
Anyway, the other day we were going to go out to dinner with my parents and my Dad said "B isn't going to wear a hat is he?? He's 37 years old!!" So...is there an age after which you are too old to wear a hat? Does your DH wear a hat often?

I do think the constant baseball hat is a look that gets old once you are past college age.
At a BBQ or a baseball game or an outdoor concert or anything else outdoors and/or casual, of course you can wear a hat. I do. But dinner? Work? Any sort of indoor social event? It's a little odd.
(side note - I wish men's hats besides baseball hats, cowboy hats and ironic hipster hats would come back in style. My FIL wears a hat on the train and I freakin' love that thing)
My Goodness...another food blog. Featuring: Macarons from a old post with a photo taken by my mom for a break from my crappy food photos!
I agree-it drives me crazy when people wear them in restaurants (other than, say, McD's).
My response to this is your H is 37??? Your wedding pics make him look like he is 24!!! Iz impressed!
I will be sure to tell him this!! He thinks he's 100.

to me, it sounds a little critical of your dad to have said that...
hats don't bother me
My dad is not the most tactful person there is.

I agree with Wawa. I associate constant baseball cap wearing is a childish look unless you're outside a lot. My husband wears one when he mows the lawn and took it to the beach last year and I hated the damn thing - I was constantly yanking it off of his head as soon as we were inside.
I don't mind baseball caps on men at any age as long as they are in an appropriate place to wear one. Dinner? Church? No.
And, shocker, I agree with Wawa--I wish men still wore regular hats, like on Mad Men. My fashion taste seems to be waxing nostalgic today.

Baseball hats don't belong indoors unless you are at an indoor baseball game or maybe a sports bar or a baseball player who is making a public appearance.
When I see a guy over the age of 25 wearing a baseball hat somewhere I usually think he is trying to hide the fact that he is bald/thinning.
