What exactly does early labor feel like? I don't think this is it, but I don't know what it's supposed to feel like! I'm feeling a wave-like movement, but it's not painful and is just in the front. It's more or less constant (haven't really tried to stop it by changing positions or anything). Just Braxton Hicks?
Re: Anyone up still? Labor ?
I've been through it and I still can't tell you what it feels like. It feels like you want to punch your husband in the face. Are you there yet? No? Then you're good.
But honestly, my contractions (although induced) were very methodical. There was a bell curve where I knew one was coming on and when it was ending. Are you timing any of this? Does it feel repetitive? If so, I would call for peace of mind.

UM totally true!
H would ask, what's it feel like? Do you really need those drugs? So I would ask, would you like me to jab a knife in your left nut? BWAHAHA!!
Mine were like VERY intense period cramps, and my water broke, they got worse the further into labor I got, so if they keep getting painful. Also, at first mine weren't that strong/painful.
For me it started out like menstrual pain for a while but repetitive. Then when things got going, it was more like a charlie horse in my lower abdomen, squeezing REALLY tight and then loosening. If there's any repetition to period crampiness I'd say that's the beginning.
Braxton hicks for me were more like a hardening in the front. My belly would get rock hard and then relax eventually.
Ditto! Walk sister walk! I had major BH the week before I went into labor, and did a lot of walking the day my water broke.
