Has anyone gone to Vet. Care Specialists on Milford Rd south of M-59? I have to switch Murray to a new place since the old place is too inconvenient now (*sniffle*). I was looking at this place because it is 10 min from me and they are 24 hour.

Re: Milford - vets???
Did Matt give you the numbers I gave him!? :P
Or is that one of the places I gave him? Haha, I don't remember. But, any place that is AAHA certified is a good place to go. The standards that we have to be up to is insane in order to keep the certification.
my parents have had to use them for emergencies.
are you looking for vet recs? if so, i HIGHLY recommend VCA in White Lake. It's right across from the Kohls. We switched there a few years ago and love them. WAY WAY WAY better then our last place.
Yeah he gave me the numbers. I haven't looked up the Waterford one, but that damn White Lake one seems like it is never open.
I guess I was just looking at this place for emergency care and whatnot. It freaks me out that I haven't "picked out" a place in case of an emergency.....I don't want to be having a meltdown because murray is hurt and not knowing where to go =(
I've never heard of that place, but in case you were looking for additional local places, my family used to always used this vet. It's on M59 in white lake & i think it's pretty close to you. It's kind of kiddie corner from alpine valley.

Some e-vets do regular appointments as well, but tend to be on the more expensive side.
We use Oakland on telegraph for our e-vet.

That's the one that higgy recommended. I haven't looked them up, but it seems like they are only open a couple days a week... it is always dark in there with no cars in the lot! I suppose I will have to look them up.
Thanks for the rec however, we do need a new vet for regular stuff. Higgy.... go apply at that place
Haha. No thanks. I finally got a very good raise so I am happy at Plaza again. Seems they did miss me when I was away on maternity leave. If I ever get a new job it will be as a SAHM.
But but but..... puhleeeze???? Murray will miss you =(
it does look dead a lot but i think it's because they are really effecient. in and out, and i've never had a problem getting in there - for emergencies or regular stuff.
Open Mon-Thu 9am-8pm; Fri 9am-7pm; Sat 9am-4pm
wow they actually DO have good hours. I seriously thought they were open like 2 days a week, I drive by there every single day at least twice and they never have cars there! haha.
do you have a vet you like? or is there just one? (I should probably google, but whatev)
i have seen a couple there and like them all. i usually book appointments too late to be picky. Our friends see Dr. Chris and really like him.
We take both our dogs to VCS in Milford for checkups and emergency care.
I like the vets, staff and facility. We switched to them about a year ago after having a bad experience at another vet in Milford. I will say, they move really slow. I don't think I've ever gotten out of there in less than an hour.
We just had our first emergency visit two weeks ago on a Sunday morning. One dog needed three staples on her back and two meds. Our visit was $140 (we got a $20 discount for being an established animal). I thought that was pretty reasonable considering the circumstances, and it is nice to have a emergency vet so close to home.
