Update to "how much will this cost me"

We used Bahr Plumbing out of Rosedale...

my husband went to school with the plumber himself and the Bahr son that runs it, so I'm not sure if that yielded us a discount, but they sure were nice to work with.

Only 325$ I am so relieved!!!! They snaked it, twice, removed the toilet and reattached. We're supposed to start using root kill and hopefully that will keep us free of having to do the digging up the lawn thing.

Oh and the other culprit...if I used those clorox bathroom wipes on the toilet, then I just flushed them (if I used them on the sink I threw them away)...anyways those are not flushable and do not break down AT ALL...so if you are making the same mistake I did, then stop (I may be the only idiot that did this)

Re: Update to "how much will this cost me"

  • YEAH - that's good.

yeah, I flushed a few baby wipes (like seriously maybe 10?) and that was clogging our too.

How do you use the root kill?  Do you flush it down?

  • They said to do it like before you go to work or bed (like when you know you won't be flushing it for a while)...so you put it down and flush it once so that sits in the pipe a while

  • I know the Bahrs too...worked with both Dan and Jonathan's wives.
