K was laid off a few days ago along with 300 others.
the mississippi river flooding has everyone in a freenzie. He was at an Exxon plant on the river and they laid off 300 people b/c they won't be able to work until the water goes down. Closer to us is where all the water is coming in now b/c of the spillway opening, so shops and plants near us aren't hiring and everything is on hold b/c they don't know what will happen. Just keep us in your thoughts that this flooding situation goes away soon and places can start hiring again so K can get back to work.
Re: t & p please
I have definitely been praying about the rain and flooding. I hope your DH is able to find something.
Im personally sick of the rain up here. It has been cloudy/rainy every.single.day.
a few years ago K had never ever been laid off....it the past 2 years he's been laid off more times than we can count. The whole industry has gone to hell in a hand backet.....I wish we were in a place where he could just start something brand new.....
Our Blog!
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain."
What industry is he in? I know he does welding is it for the gas industry? that is what I work in. so i understand what he is going through.
Sorry Tiff. Hopefully things will look up soon and he can find a job. Once the flooding is gone would they hire the people back?
T&P your way.
