Has anyone been to Pure Movement in Portland?
I need to get off my ass and it seems like their classes might be good for a slow-moving gal such as myself. Has anyone tried anything there?
Re: Has anyone been to Pure Movement in Portland?
Ahhhhhhhhhhh, maybe I'll check it out.
ETA: Wow, it definitely looks good.
It's awesome...pretty much all the classes are all levels and they have mats and towels there that you can use if you don't have your own. I'm trying to convince Interro (Jacki) to come with me. Let me know if you are going to go!
Also, sorry I totally jacked your thread, I didn't mean to!
I haven't been to pure movement, but my friend and I are starting yoga tonight at the Breathing Room in SoPo. I have NEVER done yoga before and am kinda nervous about it, but I got a coupon off of Groupon and the lady that owns the place has been emailing with me to help me choose a good starter class, so I'm feeling better about it. I'll let you know how it goes :-)
Thanks for the information, gals. I definitely want to get started...maybe I'll try out a couple of different places.
H&C, how do you like myfitnesspal?
I haven't been to any yoga studios since moving, but have seriously wanted to get back into it - I used to go to an amazing class that was just an Adult Ed course at my old high school back in NY - it was $5 for 1.5 hours and the instructor was awesome. I've been too nervous to go to a "real" studio, but I've been hearing about the donation place. Also, my new hair stylist goes to a Bikram class on Forest Ave in Portland that I wanted to look into.
If anyone does check any of these out, please post back! I'd love to see what you think - I've been holding out of spending money on "extra curriculars" until DH gets a regular job and it looks like it's about to happen, so I'm gearing up!
