This isn't probably the best place to post this but I feel most comfortable here and most of you ladies have had or been to a bridal shower.
That being said, I am not a bridal shower game kind of person but my sister is and I am her matron of honor (eww that sounds old). Looking for recommendations on bridal shower games that either you had at your shower or participated in at someone elses shower that you enjoyed?
TIA!!
Re: Bridal Shower Games
I like the gift bingo because it gives the guests something to do during the endless unwrapping - for showers I've thrown we always have multiple prizes so we can keep it going.
Other than that, I don't really like the games.
At my friends shower they did the newlywed game - but the best part was they taped the groom's answers and played them on the tv. It was really cute seeing his answer and it was a great surprise for the bride.
At my shower they just had questions for me to answer and each one wrong I had to chew a piece of bubble-yum. It was cute I thought.
Bridal Bingo is always a good one to keep people busy while opening the gifts. I've also seen the match the famous couples one.

At the last couple I've been to (baby and bridal showers) they've played Gift Bingo.
One shower had a cooking theme, and all the favors and prizes were kitchen-related. They had a "name that spice" game, where you had to identify the 12+ little jars of spices by appearance only. The jars looked like these -- http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=13366365
We did a timer at my shower. Every 10-15 minutes, the timer would go off and whatever gift I was opening, that person received a prize.
We also did a bit of an embarrassing "game," but nobody knew about it until after all the gifts had been opened. Then, a couple of my friends came forward and read from the list they'd been keeping. While I was opening my gifts, they were jotting down the little comments I made. About the bedding set, I had said, "All we need now is a bed!" While opening a crystal vase, I'd commented "I should be careful. I don't want to break it." You get the idea. These innocent comments were read as things I would be saying (to DH) on my wedding night.
I did the games that are self-directed...
so we did Bingo (where the people filled out the cards and had to pay attention to what was being open)
Clothes pin game (could not say a word or the clothes pin got taken away..the one who had the most won...I think we used the word "love"
timer game -went off every 3 min. or so and the persons gift that was being open won
and one shower I went to we did a toilet paper bride.
At my shower, the bridesmaids did a "who knows the bride" quiz. It's a multiple choice quiz quiz with about 15 questions about the bride. At the shower I read off the correct answers which actually were pretty surprising answers about me. The person with the highest score got a prize. It was OK.
