Is it obvious that it's a slow day here at the office???
My Braxton-Hicks seem to be in full swing this week, so I am doing my best to find any and all recommendations/suggestions for relief, so throw 'em at me! I've been drinking a lot of water, walking or stretching when I can (somewhat difficult when you're stuck @ a desk), and helping DH hone his massage skills. Any other ideas for a little relief, or is this just the suck it up & deal section of pregnant life?

Re: Braxton-Hicks help
Laying down always helped me. Mine would kick in whenever I went for a walk...or got up from desk after sitting awhile.
Pull an Erika and crawl under your desk.
Same here. I would have to lay down and drink a lot of water. That still only gave me little relief, but I would take what I could get at that point.
THIS! I'm no help. I never experienced BH
That's what I'm thinking! It's pretty big under there...

Erika's tips for successful under-desk napping:
- Get a blanket to prevent contact with gross office floor (My company gave everyone really nice stadium blankets one year as a corporate perk type gift and they make perfect nap blankets that fold up when you're done!)
- If you have the luxury of an office, I found the most inconspicuous way to nap was with the door open and lights on- people just assume you are in a meeting or the bathroom!
- Don't get greedy- set a cellphone alarm (quietly) for 15-20 minutes, just enough to perk you up and not to make people really start to wonder where you disappeared to.
- If you don't actually sleep, it's ok. Just getting some quiet rest time will help.
- Keep feet tucked under. No one wants to be busted Wicked Witch of the East style!
- Don't plan to covert nap the same day as your surprise baby shower. It's really embarassing explaining to a room of HR friends that you've been MIA the last 15 minutes because you were asleep.
I have no other advice about BH... I too never had them. (You know along with not really having any labor pains at all, silly c/s baby...)
I love you for this Erika!
Erika, you are my hero.

I do what I can. And if that is being the spokeswoman for slacking via snoozing at the office, so be it. I'll hold the title proudly!!!!
(Hope your belly is behaving now!)
My BH never hurt - do yours? Mine were just a tightening of my belly - got so tight towards the end that it would almost take my breath away, but never any pain or muscle tightness anywhere else.
Lots of water, rest, feet up, and try emptying your bladder - a full bladder and exercise ALWAYS set my BH off.
