Re: U/D to DDs Ankle

  • Glad nothing is broken. It's probably good she heard it from a doctor that she needs to stay off of it for a week. You know since moms know nothing ;)
  • If only. She won't stay off of it! She was told she is not to be on it by me, and the doctor! Yet she still insists on being on it!!

dude...how old is she?  MAKE HER.

  • I think you said she is 6, right?  I know it is hard at that age because they are little balls of energy, but you are going to have to make her... even if you have to tie her butt to the chair.

There are some activities she can do without being on her feet.  I used to swing a lot when I was that age.  It will burn off some energy without putting weight on the ankle.

Repetitive injuries are much worse.  If she doesn't listen and hurts it again she could do a lot more damage.

  • Glad to hear that it's nothing to serious. I can't imagine keeping a 6 year old idle, but I would try my hardest. Lots of coloring, arts and crafts that we will keep her sitting. I guess she will be out of school for 7 days too?

  • yes she is 6! And little fireballs of energy is not even the word for her. She is more like a huge huge huge huuuggeeeeeeee fireball of energy. The child is on the go from the second she wakes up to the second i MAKE her go to bed! If i didnt turn her tv off on her at night and make her go to bed half the time she would be up and awake longer than i am! I was even in her room with her coloring the other night and she still wanted to get up and move around! lol.
