I just started reading this and am about halfway down the first page (it must get good since it's 4 pages long) but so far, I'm good. I totally get what the 2 "submissive" wives are saying and have often thought that people who get their panties in a bunch about the word "obey" being in marriage vows are very uninformed. While the bible does say for a wife to obey and respect her husband it also says that a husband will treat his wife like Jesus treats the church...and that is with the ultimate amount of respect and kindness. When you look at that way (at least for me), I don't see the problem.
I also noticed one of them said something along the lines of how if she spends money when they should be saving, that's her being non-submissive. You can paint that whatever color you'd like but in most healthy marriages, that would be cause for a CTJ talk. It's just disrespectful to your spouse if you both discuss how to spend your money and then one of you blatantly disregards that.
Ok, I'm going back in; I just had to say that I don't disagree with the first part.
