Limo/Bus Recs

Can anyone recommend a good limo/bus company? I need to get 14 people to center city for a bach party and the cheapest thing I can find is a freakin school bus. All the vans only seat 13 and of course I have 14. And its some seat belt law. After that the price jumps $200+. I really don't want to pay over $500.

Thanks

Re: Limo/Bus Recs

  • If memory serves from the old wedding days, the school bus was in fact the cheapest option.

All I'm sayin is that sounds like a fun party!

I've looked into that. I'm thisclose to just booking it. The stress this is giving me is becoming not worth it.

  • You know my thoughts on that!

Honestly I'd be surprised if anyone even cares what drives them home on the way back.

  • I have no doubt they won't care. But..I found a place that has a van for cheaper than a bus so I'm going with that. Just seems like it would be easier to manuever in the city in a smaller van then a school bus!

  • Can I jump in on your post? I am planning a B-Party right now to and the guys need a limo/bus/somthing. The girls luck out with me as a DD driver.

How much are the school buses running?

  • Just book Old Yellow. No one will care, and everyone will have room to stretch out and sleep on the way back.

I booked one for the wedding.  They wanted a ridiculous price for limos/shuttles/vans.

  • Kernal- where'd you book the van from?

  • I like Philadelphia Trolley Co. and King Limousine for service.

But yes, the prices on this sort of transportation are incredible, I find it shocking, every time.

Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
  • I've taken many a party school bus. They are fun and they let you do anything.
  • I think Yellow buses are the most fun for bachelorette parties!
  • King Limo actually had ok prices. I went with Trophy Limo bc they had good reviews online, were super helpful on the phone, sent me a confirm immediately and had the lowest prices.

  • Trust me, I'm not opposed to yellow school buses. I had one for my wedding and it was so damn fun! But this van is just slightly cheaper so it all works out.

  • not sure if it will fit in your budget, but i've used city wide limo about 10 times and they've always had the best prices and didn't nickel and dime you for this surcharge and that surcharge and they didn't start their clock until they reached the pick up spot (many companies start from when they leave their lot). Check out the shuttle bus http://www.cwlimo.com/top-bus.html

  • I've never used them, but my hairdresser recommended Restaurant Valet as a good option.
