Squeal! (vacation)
We're going to Puerto Rico at the end of June! Felix has some vacation time that he has to use or lose by the end of June, and that heads into a holiday weekend (with July 4th being on Monday), so we're going from Saturday morning, June 25th, through Sunday evening, July 3rd! (I found good plane tix last night.)
Felix has actually lived there a couple times, but I have never been. His sister and BIL who live in PA have a house in PR, but it's on the opposite side of San Juan. We'll stay in their house (for free--yay!) a majority of the time and maybe stay in the San Juan area for 2 or 3 nights. I think we'll be renting a car, so we can do some day trips from his sister's place.
I'm sure he'll have suggestions of what we can do, but have any of you ever been there? Any ideas? And, of course, what do I pack?! (We're casual people who don't do night clubs and such, so no need for nicer clothes most of the time.)

That's great news! And even better that you get the place all to yourselves for nothing! I've been to San Juan but I honestly can't think of a single place that I could recommend, it was back in 2001. Definitely just pack beach-ish stuff and you'll be fine.
