Recipe for lemon bars

Does anyone have a good recipe for lemon bars? I have a craving to make some this weekend.

Re: Recipe for lemon bars

  • Oh man they seem to take foreverrrr but are so worth it! lol

    This is what my momma makes;

    Bottom: 2 c sifted flour, 1/2 c powdered sugar, 1 c butter

    Top: 4 eggs, 2 c sugar, 1/3 c lemon juice (real), 1/4 c flour, 1/2 c baking powder

    For the bottom: Mix it all up with hands until it clings together, press that mix into your 9x13 pan - bake that at 350 for 25ish mins (until lightly browned)

    For the top:  Beat eggs, sugar and lemon juice.  Sift together the flour and baking powder - stir that into egg mix.  Pour this over the bottom (once baked and cooled!)  Now bake this at 350 for 25ish mins.  Let that cool then sprinkle the powdered sugar and cut into the bars.

    Yum!

  • No problem.  Let me know how they turn out.
  • Okay, These aren't lemon bars but they sound amazing: Keylime Cheesecake Bars.
