Re: PR: Face Wash

  • Love Love Love Belli!!!  Its all I used during my pregnancy.

CVS around here carries it, and Belli's website has coupons and specials often.

And sometimes, zulily.com and totsy.com have sales as well!

  • I never heard of that stuff.

I used Aveeno Skin Brightening, but I also didn't really have skin issues (thankfully).  So I don't know how that would be clearing up skin.

A while ago, I remember Tonia recommended a great face wash... I can't remember the name of it or if it was safe to use during pregnancy, but I think she said it was.

Sorry, I'm really no help LOL

  • Awesome - thanks!

I think I'll order it now. I don't think anyone around here carries it.

  • I could never find the Belli products at CVS. :(  I ended up not ordering it online either though.

I really don't think anything would've cleared up my skin though -- it didn't calm down until I was about 22 weeks or so.  I just used Dove Sensitive skin soap and a soft washcloth to gently exfoliate.  I'm also guilty of using small amounts of benzoyl peroxide throughout my pregnancy for the really bad zits.  (Some docs say it's safe, others say it's not, but my midwives okay'ed it so I used it.)  The Belli products are definitely worth a try though, I'd love to hear if they work in case I get pregnant again. :)

  • I used the Clean and Clear Acne System. My doc ok'd it while I was pregnant since I wasn't eating it....her words lol. But I know some people get uncomfortable using/doing things on the "not allowed" list. I however wasn't very good about staying off that list lol
Baby, you've got the sort of eyes that tell me tales...

  • It sounds like you've made your choice but I've been loving Aveeno since PG and now.  I used gentle calming face wash because my face got really dry and red over the winter while PG which is the opposite of my usual skin composition which is typically seriously oily.  Now it's going back to oily so I'm using Clear Complexion cream cleanser.

My hair AND skin dried out a lot this pregnancy.  Both used to be really oily before getting pregnant too!  How weird.  I've been especially loving not having the oily hair -- I can go 4 days without washing it, sometimes 5, and it looks totally fine!  I have a feeling it's going to go back to needing washed every day or every other day as soon as this kid is born though. :(

  • I use regular soap wirh my clarisinic brush. It really helped my skin! I haven't found a solution for the backne though.
  • I've been using Clean & Clear Continuous Control Acne Clenser for a few months. It does have benzoyl peroxide, which I've read is safe and my doc said it was fine. Its really helped with the acne.

I had a friend use the Belli stuff and she wasnt a fan.  Meh.
