This is going off the FB chat last night, I saw it this morning when I woke up, so..
If you worked in a factory, what type of factory would you want to work in?

Candy (chocolate in particular) if I got sick of being around it I guess I would stop eating it so it's a win-win. LOL
Since I already work in a food grade facility, I think I would go to some place that just did mass production of parts. Food grade is a major headache, espicially our Cocoa division of the company.

I totally picture Lucy and Ethel stuffing the chocolate in their mouths because the conveyor belt was going too fast!
You can be Lucy and I'll be Ethel because a chocolate factory has my vote too.
Random side story-When my mom and I went to Ireland, there was a girl with her parents who had a whole box of guiness chocolates. They kept eating them on our tour and by the end were definitely buzzed and feeling it.

I'd work in a hearing aid factory. Not nearly as fun as you girls' suggestions, but I'm so sick of these hearing aid manufacturers selling my students' families hearing aids that are way more appropriate for old people than 3-year-olds.
(example--one company gave free hearing aids to many of my students last fall. Wonderful, right? Except the hearing aids are totally bad for my kids. As one example of why they are bad, they have hard-shell earmolds. One 5-year-old got hit in the head while playing at recess one day, and the hard earmold broke off in his ear canal. So much blood, and he had to go the emergency room. No one was being malicious here--normal childhood play means kids sometimes get a bump on the head. A soft earmold, more appropriate for children, would not have broken if it got hit.).
So, I'd hire a rockstar engineer, and have someone help me make the perfect listening technology for kids. Children are not small adults!
I love this. Your example is terrifying, I couldn't imagine how I would feel if that happened to my little guy.

I currently work in a factory and love watching the gears and major parts for helicopter engines being machined from raw to completion. This is even more fascinating to me because DH and several friends fly the models that we make major parts for.
Firearms was really neat to see. Watching metal rods pounded into the shape of the frame. Though the oil on rifle/shotgun barrels smells really bad.
Sneakers were fun. To see 6 pairs of shoes all being embroidered with the logo at once. They were still mostly sewn and glued together by hand. Mainly only the embroidery was done by machine.
The most boring one I worked in was a place the made machines. It was mostly assembly.
I do know people that work at Ben & Jerry's and Lindor (lindt) Chocoloates.
Ice cream for sure!
(side note: DH & I like to watch the show How it's Made on Science Channel)

Beta 6/3 - 15.8; Beta 6/7 - 21.8; Beta 6/10 - 7
FET - Transferred 1 AA blast 7/11. Beta 7/20 - 311! Beta 7/22 - 784!! First u/s 8/10
