canceling Philly - need local day trips for Mem Day weekend
I think DH can't handle an overnight - a day in NYC at the museum of natural history stressed him out and the girls did great! i'm cancelling our trip to philly for now.
would like to plan a day thing for sunday of memorial day weekend - any different ideas?
we've been to the norwalk aquarium a few times, went to mystic last summer, would prefer to avoid holiday weekend haunts like the shore or coney island...any festivals?

This site lists festivals by Month. I checked a few of the sites I know do things but nothing is going on that weekend. How about bear mountain park you could do the zoo and take a ride on the carousel.
You could visit me at Sunnyside! LOL
or take the kids to Philipsburg Manor. PMUM is a working farm. Animals to see and if you're lucky get to see the cows or goats get milked. There's a working mill. Kids seem to have lots of fun there.
At my site you can picinic. We have a free tote bag with lots of fun things to do as a family. I'd suggest a house tour, but I would definitely leave that up to you guys and if your girls would want to go out on a tour.
Im working the 28th, so if you (or anyone else) wants to come down, I'll be there that day supervising.
