How do you organize your coupons ??
I've always been a couponer, but I've also always struggled with how best to organize them.
How do you do it?
What do you do with coupons you're not using right now, but that don't expire for months versus those that you will use on your next grocery trip?
Looking for ideas.
TIA!
Re: How do you organize your coupons ??
I have a little clutch I use that opens up all the way. I keep them loosely filed in there by the order that I walk through the grocery store aisles - with the upcoming expiration dates filed first if I have multiple coupons. It's not the most efficient method, but it allows me to flip through my coupons as I'm walking and compare them against my shopping list.
I don't separate out the far out expirations from any of the other expirations. If there's a good sale on something and I want to use my coupon, I use it even if the expiration date is 6 months out.
I have a medium 3 ring binder and I use baseball card holders for my coupons. I also have dividers that separate into several sections (Health and Beauty, Househould, Store Specific, etc...) I have a plain page protector in the front of the binder that I put coupons that I plan on using the next time I am at the store.

I use an envelope system. I have an envelope for every month and then organize the coupons by date in it. As I am making my grocery list I pull out coupons I am going to need and then the ones that are about to expire to see if I can use them or not. I also have a different envelope for things like shampoo, body wash, and cleaning supplies that I go through if I need one of those things.
