My DH got his 3 seconds of fame lastnight. At the end of our local 6:00 news they had a story about a woman retiring after 40 years from the hospital he works at. They did the story because she has worn her nursing cap for the full 40 years she was in nursing. Well of course the hospital wants to show that they have a strong male presentation. They grabbed the 2 male nurses on the floor (DH and another guy), and a male CNA. Well there was DH. It was kind of funny to see it.
So anyhow, here is a picture from the paper, they don't have the story online.

Re: AW: My DH
Cool!
I love that men are joining the nursing profession. I really believe that balance in any profession is a good thing.
Funny thing, the nurses at the hospital that I visited here in Gander, Newfoundland yesterday still wear nursing caps. But I've visited lots of hospitals and this is the first time I've seen it.

It's funny because DH's mother was a L&D nurse for 40 years and wore her cap right up until the last few years (I guess other nurses complained about it so she stopped wearing it). Also, one of his older brothers is an EMT/Firefighter. Lets just say that sometimes dinner with all of them can be entertaining.
