has anyone been out cute dress shopping lately?
i have a bachelorette party on saturday and it sounds like most of the girls are wearing dresses. something fun and somewhat, but not overly, dressy.

I am going today with a group of girls to look for dresses; I hope I find something along the same lines as you said. We are just hoping all the department stores will be having dress sales for "after prom" season....of course I am not sure how age appropriate the dresses on sale will be.
I think Macy?s usually has a dress sale around this time. I know I bought 3 dresses around this time last year. I wore them weddings so they were not bad, but they were mixed in with some delightfully awful prom dresses. I put on a few pounds so I need a wardrobe ?upgrade?.
If you are around a Gordmans I would think they would have some great things to pick from. I am not, so I will have to see what I can find at the mall.
Primp on Selby Ave. in St. Paul has some really cute dresses in your price range.

I'm super bummed I just bought a different Lauren Conrad dress from Kohls 2 weeks ago, because now there's THIS one! So in love with it and won't let myself buy it. Anyway, depending on how fancy the night out is...there are lots of options at Target, Kohls (Target and Kohls probably wouldn't give you a dress to go to fancy clubs in), Express, F21, Limited (if you can find them in your size+on sale!), NY&C, Francescas, and possibly Charlotte Russe (their dresses have been getting super junior-ish).
ETA: I always forget about H&M because they don't have a shop online site, but they always have tons.
You could try The Loft too. They always have cute dresses.

I always default to Forever 21 or H&M for dresses like that. Since I only wear them one or two times I can justify about $30 tops. One of my favorite dresses for a wedding a year ago was H&M and I spent $29.
There is a place at Shops at West End called Love Culture. It's similar to Forever 21 in terms of styles and prices. Worth a stop if you are in the area.
If you are really ambitious, the BCBG outlet in Albertville has a ton of dresses.
