Re: Thankful Thursday
My peonies are blooming! I love them so!
I am thankful that my FIL is able to watch DD overnight tomorrow while we go away to celebrate our 5th anniversary. (Though we haven't left her with anyone overnight since I was in the hospital when she was two weeks old, so I'm a little nervous!)
I'm also thankful that today is my Friday, too. I'm not in the mood to work. Bring on the wine!
me, too! I leave at Noon -- first for a much-dreaded dentist visit (for which I am not at all grateful!) and then..... Chincoteage! until Monday night! CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!
"What is a week-end?"
Bonus points for pictures, MPD!
Hope the overnight anniversary celebration goes well, QueSrah! My advice would be to block on your hotel room so you don't get middle-of-the-night phone calls from misdialing asshat hotel guests that wake you up when all you wanted was one night to sleep...your FIL can always call your cell.
Remodeling is so worth the results, myvette!
Enjoy the getaway, Pam!
I am having a good hair day, at last.
I'm thankful that DH is finally starting to understand how much I hate my job. It only took 4 months of talking about it and a major meltdown last night, but at least he finally gets it and is eager to help me figure out my next step.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
i saw more pictures of BIL's SUV from his crash last week. i am SOOOO thankful that my sister wasn't in the car. she would have been killed. the entire front passenger's side was crushed from the top. i am also SOOOOO thankful that it ws the empty passenger's side that was crushed and not the driver's side. i am SOOOOO thankful that my BIL will make a full recovery. (he's up and walking!) he has horrible (internal and external) bruising, but thankfully, that's the extent of his injuries.
very thankful for the gift of life.
Right now I'm thankful that LO seems to be done with colic and can be a happy little guy. DH took some iphone video yesterday of him laughing at DH's sneeze noises and it's possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen LO do.
I'm also thankful that he stopped waking up every two hours, although I would be very very grateful if he'd get back up to sleeping 6-7 hours in a row each night. Every four hours is better than every 2, but mommy is tired!
i love peonies! they make me think of my grandma. i'd send her a link to the beautiful photo but she doesn't know how to use the "the online" (that was for you, pam!)
i am grateful for pandora making my morning a little less annoying

I am SO thankful that even though I am going through some ridiculous crap in my personal life right now, that I can still look at it objectively and see what a charmed life I live. I have an amazing family, wonderful & thoughtful friends, and no matter what the future holds, it is sure to be positive and happy, because I am surrounded by so many people who love and support me so much.

I'm thankful that the two new civilians we hired, while a little quirky and a bit chatty for my productivity, are hard-working, excited to be here, and full of great ideas. By the time I leave in July my boss will be fine while I'm gone and they look to replace me, and that's a relief.
And on a related note I'm thankful that I only have 32 work days left at this job (8 of them telecommuting)!
