Rec your Ankeny Pedi!

I'm planning on calling some pedi's this afternoon.  Our little boy is due in 7ish weeks and needs a doc.  What Ankeny pedi's do you love/dislike? Why?  TIA!

  • I cannot say enough how much I LOVE Dr. Cheri Folden!!! She has been so great to us and we have been through a lot recently with my oldest. She is at the Mercy North clinic on 1st. What I love about her is that she is great with follow up. She doesn't just tell you that your kid is sick and send you on your way until next time. She has always called (herself, not her nurse) a few days into antibiotics or whatever to make sure they are getting better. Our original pedi moved and we were just assigned to Dr. Folden, but I love her. She didn't even meet Ella until I went in there inquiring about Ella's headaches and she just jumped right in helping us out and didn't drag her feet thinking it was a cry for attention. I couldn't be more happy with everything she has done for us!
  • Both of my kiddos see Dr. Andrea White - Ankeny Pediatric Clinic.  I couldn't say enough wonderful things about her - and her nurse (Teri).  She has been instrumental in helping us with my daughters Speech Delays and her Chronic Ear Infections.  She is patient, kind and truely takes the time to meet with you during your appointments.  If we are ever to move out of Ankeny, I would make the trip to bring the kids back to see her - no question.  Good Luck!

  • We go to Dr Bilgi.  He is great.  He never makes me feel bad for calling to much.  he always asks us questions on how we are doing as parents.  i feel like he really cares and that we are not just another number to him.  his nurses are always so great with Turner too.

  • I hardly ever post on here, but I feel strongly enough about this topic, that I really wanted to chime in!  We also see Dr. Folden and LOVE her!  I didn't find a pediatrician before having DD, but knew I wanted to go with the Mercy North clinic, so we were just assigned to her on our first visit.  I have never liked or trusted a doctor more than I do her.  She is amazing with children, and is awesome with the parents too!  She is always thorough and will personally follow-up to see how your child is doing if he or she has been ill.  I truly cannot say enough great things about her!

We love Dr. Bilgi.  My sister also takes her kids there as well.  He is always so good about calling back right away if we get the answering service after hours.  I love that we can talk with him and not just whoever is on call.  He seems to truely care about the kids, but also how we are doing as a family.  He's such a sweet guy.
