Drink ideas for a group?

DH and I are having a bbq this Saturday. I am making lemonade and we are having beer but I wanted to make an alcoholic drink for those who don't like beer (me!) that I can make bigger batches of. Right now we are looking at 25-30 people. Any ideas/recipes?

  • I really like Sangria. use some sweet white wine, fruit juice, sparkling water and cut up fruit. you can use cheaper wines like barefoot for this.
  • This would be easy to make for a group...  and you could make them as you go so you dont have a bunch "left" just in case.  Or just make this sometime over the course of the summer.

2 liter bottle of sprite zero

1 "cannister" fruit punch crystal lite (the size that makes a quart of it)

    vodka

Empty sprite zero until the top of the label on the 2 liter bottle.  Empty in cannister of crystal lite (you need to put the crystal lite in while the fluid level is lower in the bottle or you'll have a foam over).  Pour vodka back in to fill the bottle back up.  They are so tasty.   I call them "sprite bombs".

Otherwise I have made sangria before in a punch bowl that's usually a big hit.  There are tons of recipes out there for red or white wine sangria, and most of them have the same idea - a bottle of wine, soda, fruit, sugar, and some kind of a flavored liquier like triple sec or brandy.  I usually try to make it the night before so it can "meld flavors".

This sounds so yummy! I might have to make it just for me :)
