help a friend find a dress
My friend is pregnant and invited to a very formal wedding-- she has no idea what to wear and I doubt wants to spend a lot of money on a dress. She's 5'0" and size 00... super petite. The wedding is the end of June so she'll be 6 months I think.
Anyone have any good advice for her? or suggestions? Thanks!
Re: help a friend find a dress
Try eBay!
how formal is very formal?
what about a basic black wrap dress - if she's super tiny I bet she'd fit into some normal sizes anyway - with a statement necklace?
Just looked-- sent her the only option that was there... thanks!
She's worried about not being dressy enough-- wedding is in Montreal and they are like NY weddings. I suggested a regular dress-- I'm trying to find contenders for her. I told her she could always dress it up with jewelry too.
Brilliant. Just sent her that.
Not necessarily this particular one, but what about a goddess empire waist dress? She might be able to get away with her typical size because they are extremely forgiving and then she could still wear it sans-pregnant belly:
love this. i bet it'd work too.
the DB stuff is decent, but I worry about looking like a rogue bridesmaid!
HAHAHA!!!!!! Oh my, I almost peed my pants at your DB comment!!
This isn't super cost effective, but Nordstroms probably has a lot to pick from.
Sometimes you can find random sales at Macy's. Like PP said, anything empire waist with flowy material, like chiffon, would be her best bet.
