laughing at a stranger.

I feel bad, sorta. And it is totally Flameable.

My H and I just went to lunch and as we were leaving the restaunt a guy in front of us just slamms into the thick glass door (the kind with no edges). He laughed at himself too.  But I was trying so hard not to laugh, my sides hurts. Till we got far enough away I could laugh. H was laughing too.

I am horrible right?

Anniversary

Re: laughing at a stranger.

  • Ha...a couple weeks ago I was walking out of daycare and you have to swipe your fob first to open the door. Only there is a few seconds lag time before the door unlatches and I guess I was walking too fast, and I just walked into the door really hard and kind of bounced off it. I heard a snickering behind me and it was another kid's dad. He apologized but I started laughing too because it was just really funny.

So I probably would have done the same.

  • I'm a serious klutz and do stuff like that all the time and laugh at myself, I would actually rather strangers laugh with me than look at me like I was some kind of defective idiot.

  • A few years ago I walked into our balcony door because I had left it open and in the minute I went inside my oldest daughter closed it and I didn't notice,  She will still fall down on the floor laughing about it if it comes up.  I don't think you are bad.  He wasn't hurt, he was laughing, and unfortunately thouse things are visually funny.  You're fine.

  • I do that stuff all the time too. One time we were staying at a B&B and this guy walked into a sliding glass door and shattered the whole door. It was really freaky.
  • A few weeks ago we were visiting family in Canada and we were driving down the street to grab some timmies, low and behold a older man riding a bike who looked rather intoxicated rides off the side of a wall and falls flat on his ass..

I tried my best not to laugh but it didnt work.. i thought at one point that i was going to pee myself.. I know its mean but it was funny..

The guy was not hurt, probably embarrassed forsure.

Oh I should also tell you guys about the time we were driving in the car after having lunch with a friend. Our friend was behind us in his new mustang (SO jealous) and we are stuck in mad traffic. I look over to my right and there is this man sitting in his car staring at me, IT WAS MISTER BEAN!!! I swear. I turn to my husband and I say look to the right so he does and starts cracking up and I of course start cracking up again as well. SO he gets on the phone with his friend behind us and he is on speaker phone, tells his friend to look right as he passes this black car. At the exact time that his friend looks over I take a sip off my sprite and his friend busts out laughing "holy Crap its mister bean, its frigging mister bean". The boys begin to laugh continuously and meanwhile I am Choking to the point of turning blue because I laughed at his friends comment at the same time as sipping my drink. Anyways he hangs up on his friend and we literally pull off to the side of the road for me to catch whatever breathe I can find. No one got hurt but I almost died from laughter.

  • I'm a jerk so I totally would have laughed.  I giggle when I see someone stumble off a curb or step in high water.  I'm not making fun of them, I just can't help but see it as a funny situation--like a movie or America's Funniest Home Videos.

  • I am a total klutz and I have done this before.  I swear the door at White House Black Market has gotten me a couple times.  Usually it is open, so when it is closed I walk right into it.

I never had their iced coffee, I am a hot coffee kinda girl, especially when in the pacific northwest.  I swear I am part reptile...  I am always cold!

But in the hot Baltimore summer I do enjoy the Coffee Coolers at Caribou Coffee.  It is cold pressed coffee, not hot espresso over ice.  Yum!

  • At one of the car dealerships I used to work at people would run into the glass doors all the freaking time. Which was ridiculous bc they had decals on them stating business hours and such, so there was no reason NOT to see them. One time a guy ran into it nose first, and may or may not have been bleeding, I can't remember. He did FLIP out though, screaming and cursing about the doors and how we should put up signs. Ummm, dude, besides the ones that are already there, really???

I am pretty klutzy, so I am frequently falling up/down stairs or curbs. The worst is flip-flops. Sometimes I wonder how I have not killed myself in them yet.

This, exactly. I am still getting used to my big belly and a few weeks ago at church I ran my stomach/self into the pew in front of me on the way to get communion. I chucked at myself (would have busted out laughing had it not be in the middle of communion) but others just stared at me like I was a complete tool or a bad mother, I would've rather they laughed. ;)

For some reason it's only good in Canada though. I've had it in NY and it sucked. They use some type of liquid sweetener in Canada and when I've gotten it in NY it didn't have any sweetener in it.

  • MMMMM Iced cappuccino ,,,, Now I must drive 10 hours to get one :)
