I need a new job. Stat.
Honestly, I know that retail can be pretty crappy. But the people I work for are ridiculous. Believe me that when I say my immediate supervisor has the competency to do his job like my daughter's poop has the competency to do his job, I am not exaggerating. I am always doing his job for him when I am there (but not getting paid to do his job) because his boss doesn't like confrontation, and won't tell him he's doing a bad job (or just not doing it at all). And his boss' boss thinks my immediate supervisor is the tops. Which just shows you how ridiculous the store is running. Couple all of that with the rest of the crap going on that I will not bore you with (if you're even still reading 
) and I seriously freak out when I think about going into work. Mega stress.
I have talked to HR multiple times, and had conversations with all of the supervisors involved. This has gone on for over a year, and it still isn't better. I'm done. I honestly want to go to work and take home a (better) paycheck and not give a crap about any of the politics, especially while I'm still in school... Go in, have fun, do a good job, go home.
...that sounds like a hooker's job description.

But for real, I'm sorry you have to deal with that crap. I know what it is like having a boss not know anything. It sucks!

I have been doing this. I don't think experience matters so much as not being a dummyhead.
Especially for server jobs.
