Hello Everyone and a garden question.
Hello!
Where do you guys get your plants from around here? I need flowers and vegetable plants.
I was super sick and missed out on Flower Day at Eastern Market last weekend. Bummer. So I need to find a good place.
Re: Hello Everyone and a garden question.
Said hi to you last night, but I'll say Hi again today, welcome!
I've heard some go to Eastern Market the week after their flower sale, they avoid Flower Day.
Downtown Northville has their annual Flower Sale the Friday & Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I've gone once just to look, good selection. We won't be home to get any this Memorial Day weekend, otherwise I'd probably go down there & get some.
DH usually gets our flowers from Home Depot since he gets gift cards at Christmas, so he figures why not use it there.
Where are you located? The Matthaei Botanical Gardens, in Ann Arbor, is having flower sales during the next few weeks. (See below) I got mine at a local Farmer's Market called Colemans.

Eastern Market or any of the local Farmer's Markets
Downtown Farmington has a great Farmers Market on Saturdays from 9-2. Right now, most of the farms are selling plants since the produce isn't in yet.
Last year and this year I have gotten plants from there - they have tons of selection and I like supporting the local farms - they are all so friendly.
Just my preference.
Welcome by the way!
This. I actually avoid the flower day, any normal weekend is still pretty darn awesome there and worth at least one trip.
Me too!
Thanks and great idea! I think I will try that!
Love Bordines!
10 Years Later
I think downtown Farmington has a Farmers Market early on Saturday mornings.
Where in FH are you at? I grew up there and am still in that area often.
No problem! It's a lot of fun - we love the area and we go to the market almost every week. Even if you don't go for plants it's a lot of fun if you like those kind of events. It's located right at the pavilion downtown - off of Grand River between Famrington and Power.
